Located in Causeway Bay, the Japanese restaurant 'Toretore Hamayaki' specializes in freshly grilled seafood. The restaurant features a live fish tank with lobsters, abalone, oysters, and various shellfish, allowing diners to savor the freshness of the seafood. Additionally, the menu offers a variety of Japanese delicacies such as seared A4 Wagyu sushi, miso braised beef tendon, and sea bream soup. 😋 ▪️ Seared A4 Wagyu Sushi The Wagyu is incredibly large and of high quality, with abundant marbling. It is seared tableside, allowing diners to choose their preferred level of doneness. The beef is rich and flavorful, paired with sushi rice and a savory sauce, making it exceptionally delicious. ▪️ Tuna Belly Tartare Crispy monaka wafers are paired with tuna belly tartare, which is rich in fish oil and flavor. The combination of the crispy exterior and the soft, flavorful tuna, along with salmon roe, enhances the overall taste and texture. ▪️ Miso Braised Beef Tendon The beef tendon is braised to a super tender consistency, with a strong miso flavor that is deeply infused. The dish is rich in collagen and pairs perfectly with a bite of white rice, offering an endless taste experience. ▪️ Japanese Stir-Fried Seafood Platter The stir-fried seafood includes large prawns, squid, scallops, and mussels, stir-fried with onions and a spicy sauce. The dish is aromatic and flavorful, and adding sake at the table enhances its spiciness and appeal. ▪️ Sea Bream Soup This soup is made from a variety of fresh fish, resulting in a rich and flavorful broth full of collagen. It includes sea bream meat and tofu, making it both fresh and delicious. ▪️ Seasonal Grilled Seafood The highlight of the restaurant, we ordered grilled white clams and South African abalone. The seafood is grilled to order, allowing diners to fully appreciate its freshness. I went to Yukuhama-yaki in Causeway Bay with my friends. The restaurant is decorated in Japanese style, just like being in a Japanese house. There is a fish tank holding all kinds of fresh seafood ⭐️Signature Set for two $988 Those with choice difficulties are best suited to choose a set. After ordering, the shopkeeper will take out the seafood in a bowl for diners to review. Then there will be a dedicated person to help grill it on site 🔸Sashimi three points The sashimi that day had salmon, oily fish and shrimp. It's been a long time since I last visited this restaurant. In the past, their signature dish was the Hamayaki, but this time I ordered the "Abundant Catch for Two" for $1680. If you like to drink sake, you can add $200 for a 300ml bottle. First, they served us each a portion of "Special Black Truffle Seared Halibut Salad." The salad had a variety of fresh vegetables at the bottom, and the halibut on top was seared to perfection, making the fish oil more delicious. The black truffle sauce added a layer of fragrance. The "Eight Pieces of Handmade Sushi" included fatty salmon, refreshing and sweet oilfish, fresh and crispy pond fish, and my favorite, Hokkaido Botan shrimp, which was elastic and sweet. They also fried the shrimp heads to a crispy texture, which was a perfect match with the sake. There were two main dishes. The "Assorted Tempura" was fried to a golden color, and the batter was crispy without being greasy. I love food with a crispy texture, and this one was done perfectly. The other main dish was the "Grilled A5 Wagyu Steak." The Wagyu was cooked to about 50% doneness, and the meat was delicate, tender, and flavorful. The grilled beef fat added an extra layer of flavor, which was amazing. We also ordered a grilled oilfish head, which was my dad's favorite. The outside was crispy and fragrant, while the fish meat inside was still smooth and tender. It was also a great match with the sake. For the last dish, I chose the "Seafood Hot Pot with Inaniwa Udon." The hot pot contained Hiroshima oysters, large prawns, squid, and Hokkigai. There were also vegetables and tofu at the bottom. Once it boiled, we added the Inaniwa Udon, and the soup was very fresh and sweet. Of course, we had to end the meal with desserts. We ordered the "Coconut Ice Cream" and "Yuzu Panna Cotta." The former had a strong coconut flavor, while the latter was refreshing and sour.
