Timba Timba Island, Malaysia | My ideal island.
🌟Highlights:
Timba Timba Island is a small island located in the northeast of Semporna, close to Mataking Island, Bohey Dulang Island, and Pom Pom Island. These four islands form one of the island hopping routes in Semporna, known as the Mataking Line.
🏖️Timba Timba Island is like a sandbar in the sea, with a one-kilometer-long tail beach and surrounding gradient blue-green sea water🌊. The sea here is rich in coral reefs🪸 and is super suitable for diving. There are no residents on the island, it is a super private and original island!!🏝️
Usually, island hopping tours will first go to Timba Timba Island to take photos on the tail beach, play on the glass boat🚢, and then go snorkeling/deep diving🤿 to encounter various magical marine creatures🐬
I hope this island will never be developed, and keep its purest appearance🐚🦀🌊

The aftertaste of Semporna is too strong, I can't get out even after leaving
Hi everyone, today's itinerary is arranged for the island hopping tour in Semporna
Madajing route
This route includes: Madajing Island-Tingbatinba Island-Bangbang Island
Madajing Island:
You can go up to take pictures (an additional 20RM island fee is required)
You can check in the sea swing, the popular glass boat
Experience deep diving/snorkeling
Tingbatinba Island:
Don't go to the island to check in for the second time deep diving/snorkeling
You can chase big sea turtles here when deep diving
Bangbang Island
The last snorkeling
All three islands are super beautiful, and I saw the legendary jelly sea. Let me talk about a few issues that everyone is more concerned about:
1Cost:
We booked the deep diving of the Madajing route of the Conch family on Ctrip, the price is ¥399, and the price of snorkeling is ¥151
The price comparison should be the most cost-effective (whether to book deep diving or snorkeling depends on your own choice)
2Carry-on items:
Sunscreen (you can apply it before going out, but don't apply chemical sunscreen, it is said to affect marine life)
It's better to be physical sunscreen (it is recommended to bring a long-sleeved jacket that covers the hands for sun protection, it's really cold when sailing (of course, if you take a yacht, you don't need it haha)
(Super film when taking pictures)
Wear a swimsuit as a base on the inside, wear a jellyfish suit on the outside, and finally wear a long-sleeved jacket (waterproof)
Sunglasses, or other photo props, choose your own hotel to bring a bath towel (you can cover it on the way back) and others just choose to bring some tissues, towels and the like
There is nothing else to explain, I wish everyone a happy and enjoyable time

Oh my gosh, I saw my favorite sea turtles while snorkeling in Semporna.
Girls, Semporna, known as the Maldives of Southeast Asia, did not disappoint me. The crystal clear sea water, you can see the fish swimming around from the shore, it's amazing‼️
Semporna is definitely the best place for snorkeling in Southeast Asia. The fish and corals in the water and the marine environment are all very good.
⬇️
[How to get to Semporna]
1️⃣Fly from major domestic airports to Kota Kinabalu or Kuala Lumpur and then transfer to Tawau Airport (about 55 minutes from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau, about 2 hours and 50 minutes from Kuala Lumpur to Tawau)
2️⃣Take a car to Semporna Town, which takes about 70-90 minutes
3️⃣Go to the pier in Semporna Town and take a boat to the hotel you have booked
If you stay in a resort on the island, there is usually a shuttle service to the pier
[About Snorkeling]
If you can't swim, as long as you are not afraid of water, you can go snorkeling. Snorkeling is also a must-do activity in Semporna. The average temperature is 26°C~33°C, and the best diving season is from March to October. Every resort on the island has daily sea activities and will provide equipment
[About Choosing an Island in Semporna]
✅Tingba Tingba Island
For snorkelers, this place is a paradise. There is a 1-kilometer-long tail beach here, which is great for taking photos
✅Mataking
The water quality here is very good, very suitable for snorkeling and diving; clear and transparent glass sea
✅Mabul Island
Check in at the Bajau water house on Mabul Island, explore the sea gypsies, and form the unique scenery of Semporna, which is very cost-effective.
✅Pom Pom Island
The first choice for parent-child tropical and rainforest preservation is the best. There is a sea turtle breeding center and a 2.3-kilometer-long coastline
✅Kapalai
Snorkeling in the diving holy land around Kapalai in the Maldives
✅Lover's Bay
Not only can you snorkel, but you can also enjoy unlimited water activities, such as banana boats, glass boats, paddle boards, and parasailing

If you love the sea, you must visit Semporna
Malaysia is visa-free now, and if you enjoy the sea, you must come to Semporna, where you can find the clearest waters in the world. When there's no wind, the ocean is like a mirror. Here, you have the whitest sand beaches, with the blue sea on both sides, walking on the beach is like strolling in paradise. The freshest and cheapest seafood is all here.
🌽 How to get there?
No matter which way you choose, fly directly from within the country, or transfer from Kuala Lumpur, first fly to Tawau Airport in Semporna.
Download the Grab app in advance and take a ride-hailing service to the Semporna Marine Tourism Center.
🍇 Where to stay?
It is recommended to stay near the pier of the Semporna Marine Tourism Center for convenient sea outings.
It is not recommended to stay in overwater villas on the islands. One reason is the expensive price, and unless you are a diving enthusiast, the overwater villas can be quite boring, and there are also safety issues (pirate incidents from a long time ago).
🍒 What to do?
It's very simple. There are many sea day-trip projects on Ctrip, with prices ranging from 160 to 300 RMB per person. Stay for 3 to 4 days, with different activities each day.
Depart from the pier around 9 am, visit the stateless Bajau people, go island hopping, to the beaches, snorkeling, and many other activities, returning to the pier at around 4 to 5 pm in the afternoon.
Recommended attractions: Bajau village, Tun Sakaran Marine Park, Pearl Island, Warship Island, Timba-Timba Island, Mabul Island, Bohey Dulang Island.
🍑 What to eat?
Of course, it's a seafood feast, with nearly a pound per mantis shrimp, eat boldly, it's very cheap.

Timba Timba island 🩵
We have recently visited Timba Timba Island in Semporna, and it was an absolute paradise. The crystal clear water and white sandy beach of the island were breathtaking.
The snorkelling experience was one of the best that we had so far in Southeast Asia. It is full of coral reefs and abundant marine life, we fell in love with it!
Our trip was with Dive monsters agency, and we had island hopping tour, so Timba Timba was the first place to visit. I totally recommend this tour and agency. If you love nature, beaches, marine life and tranquility this place is for you!
