The tower is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a peaceful temple. There are also lots of intricate carvings and sculptures to check out. I felt so amazed by the history and beauty of Tiger Hill Tower! Climbing to the top was a bit of a workout, but the views were totally worth it. I loved exploring the gardens and temple, and learning about the tower's rich history. It was a really special experience, and I felt grateful to have seen it.

I visited Shantang Street to experience and photograph Hanfu. It was a great experience, and the night view of Shantang Street was also beautiful. On the 7th, I visited Zhuo Zheng Yuan (Humble Administrator's Garden), Lion Grove Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Pingjiang Road. On the 8th, I visited Liu Yuan (Lingering Garden), Tiger Hill, and Twin Pagoda Market, before taking the high-speed train to Shanghai in the afternoon. The Suzhou gardens are beautiful, and personally, I really liked Liu Yuan because I arrived there at 8 a.m., so it wasn’t crowded, and the experience was much better. Zhuo Zheng Yuan, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum were very crowded with many tour groups since I visited on Saturday, making it hard to enjoy the natural scenery and take photos. However, Suzhou is a beautiful place, and it’s easy to visit when you're in Shanghai, as the high-speed train takes only half an hour to get there.

Tiger Hill has never disappointed me, no matter how many times I visit, I never get tired of it! Recently, Tiger Hill is open at night, closing at 21:00, with the latest entry at 20:00. It's mainly for a stroll and to enjoy the breeze. If you're touring, you can have an early dinner and go before it gets dark, or bring some food to cool off and chat inside. Metro Line 6 goes directly to the entrance. The entrance is by Shantang River, which is the same Shantang River as Shantang Street. You can walk there in the evening. I walked there once many years ago; it's all old houses. It seems not very easy to get to the main road in the middle. You can either walk a bit and take a car or walk to the end. It was like this many years ago; there might be changes now.

Here, you can learn about stories from the Spring and Autumn period, including the landmark Yunyan Temple Pagoda with its leaning appearance. The entire Tiger Hill scenic area is similar to a square, not very large, with each side measuring about 500 meters, and the hill itself is only about thirty meters high. Visitors can easily explore the area on foot. The scenic area is mainly divided into three parts: Qianshan, Qianren Stone, and the mountaintop. Each part has many scenic and cultural spots worth seeing. In addition to the Yunyan Temple Pagoda, other highlights include the Sword Pond and Qianren Stone.

Location is a bit hard to get to as there are currently no metro nearby from the city center. However, the metro seems to be under construction and may be completed soon! It wasn’t crowded for a tourist location and the whole scenic area was huge with a bit of walking. Leaning Tower: The Tiger Hill Pagoda leans some some 4 degrees to the North. Therefore the tower is often affectionately referred to as the Leaning Tower of Pisa in China. However, the Tiger Hill Pagoda predates the Leaning Tower of Pisa. The pagoda weights approximately 6,000,000kg, has seven stories and is eight sided and is supported by internal brick columns. The tower seen today is a double walled brick pagoda. Interesting Fact: In 1957, efforts were made to stabilize the tower and prevent further leaning. #fallingforfall This is one spot that I’ve always wanted to visit since I came to Suzhou, but because of the the location, and a few other reasons, I just never got around to it. however, this place was well worth the trip.
