Lanzhou weekend getaway: Tianshui Hot Springs.
Hotel: Maiji Mountain Hot Spring Resort Hotel. The environment is really good, and there aren't too many people this season.
Travel method: High-speed rail, price 65-100 per person. From Tianshui South Station to the hot spring hotel, you can take a bus or taxi. A taxi costs around 80 yuan and takes half an hour. Taking a bus is too time-consuming. I made an appointment with the taxi driver to pick me up at the south station the next afternoon for the same price of 80 yuan. In fact, the next day, there were private car owners soliciting customers at the entrance of the hotel, asking for 100 yuan. I still feel that taxis are safer.
Accommodation and dining: I booked a double room with double breakfast and double buffet (around 800 yuan, the same price as a king-size bed room). The room is very large, with many storage cabinets and platforms. The environment is quite good. If you don't want to stay here, you can also buy hot spring tickets separately. 198 yuan for an adult with buffet, 168 yuan without buffet. Children's tickets are charged separately. I didn't pay attention to the price. It was very quiet at night, and the curtains had a good light-blocking effect. I slept very well.
The breakfast was very rich, and I felt it was even better than the buffet. I suggest that you eat the two meals at a longer interval, otherwise you will really feel full. We had beef noodles at noon before going. The buffet is from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm (not sure until when). We weren't hungry at all, so we ate at a restaurant opposite the hot spring (CCBer, if you have a meal allowance in CCB Life, you can use it). The taste was not bad. We had the buffet at noon the next day because we ate too much breakfast. We didn't go to the restaurant until 2 pm, and there was nothing good to eat. I don't know if it would be better to go earlier. If I go next time, I might skip lunch on the first day and go directly, have the buffet at night, have breakfast on the second day and go to the hot spring, and then go home for dinner.
Hot spring experience: The hot spring is open from 10:00 am to 9:30 pm. There is a steam room and a heated bed inside. Fish therapy is charged separately. The water slide is open for a limited time. To be honest, this seems to be my first time in a hot spring. The experience was quite good. We went on the second morning. We asked the hotel in advance, and the staff said that they would disinfect and change the water in the morning, so the pool would be cleaner. If you go in the afternoon, the water will be dirty because there are more people. There are fewer people in the morning, and more people in the afternoon. There are many people in each pool. At first, I felt it was cold this season, so I didn't dare to go to the outdoor pool. Later, I was too thirsty, and the ginger tea provided by the hotel was also outdoors. I went to pour tea and tried it. In fact, I didn't feel cold in the hot spring, and it was okay to walk around.
Note: Snacks and glass cups are not allowed in the hot spring pool. Snacks can only be left in the locker. Glass cups may be a safety hazard and are not allowed. Many people brought stainless steel thermoses. I happened to bring a portable glass cup, so I could only use the disposable cups provided by the hotel. Next time, I can bring a large thermos and get more ginger tea to drink slowly. The ginger tea was quite good, slightly spicy and sweet.
I had breakfast at 8:30 am, went to the hot spring at 10 am, and had the buffet at 2 pm. After eating, I felt like I had a taste of everything, so I went down for a while, then took a shower and left. I came out of the hot spring pool at around 4 pm. After taking a shower and blow-drying my hair, it was already past 5 pm. The train to the south station left at 5:30 pm. We booked a high-speed rail at 6:15 pm, so there was plenty of time.
