After crossing the Di Jiu Bridge, you can reach the 'Tian Chang' Suspension Bridge by climbing the stairs. The two bridges span the upper reaches of the Bazhang River Valley, standing out beautifully against the backdrop of lush green mountains and clear waters. The Tian Chang and Di Jiu suspension bridges were built during the Japanese colonial period in Showa 12 (1937) and were named to commemorate the Tencho Festival (the Japanese Emperor's birthday) and the Chikyu Festival (the Empress's birthday). Although many tourists have visited in the past, few know the historical anecdotes. However, the legend of lovers who become a couple under the blessing of 'Tian Chang Di Jiu' has become a popular tale.
