On my first day after check-in, I strolled to South Putuo Temple from the hotel, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way, which really lifted my spirits. The recreational facilities are impressive 💪 I can't praise the hotel's recreational facilities enough. The gym is fully equipped with treadmills, machines, and everything else you might need, all brand new. I worked out there for half an hour every morning, working up a good sweat and feeling energized all day. What surprised me most was the swimming pool - the water was exceptionally clean and temperature-controlled, so it wasn't cold even in winter. I swam a few laps one day while some children were taking swimming lessons nearby, creating a really pleasant atmosphere. The hotel also offers yoga classes, which I tried once. Highly recommend The Westin Xiamen. It's about a 15-minute drive from the airport. But it's about 6 km from Zhongshan Road and Shapowei, and 6-7 km from the beach. The gym is quite large and there is a yoga room. The bed is really soft and comfortable, and the experience is great. The lounge is also good, and the food is quite satisfactory after a few days of experience. PS: The cleaning aunt is really nice. I wanted a nail clipper. The hotel didn't have one, so she lent me hers. The service is great. The Paper Plane Hotel looks more like a monster in Ultraman. The hotel has been open for some years. The environment has retained some of its original state, and some areas have been updated. The atrium design of the floor and the executive lounge are so lovely. It feels like a classic in a retro atmosphere. Even though it is old, the retro feeling is still fascinating. Location The hotel is located in Siming District on Xiamen Island, with May Day Square in front of it. It is close to Xiamen Museum, Science and Technology Museum, Art Museum and other minor attractions. The living facilities are complete and the transportation to the main attractions is also good. design The atrium design between floors is still a classic and seems unreal to be so quiet. After breakfast at the Westin Hotel in Xiamen on the weekend, cross the Xianyue Road overpass, walk for more than 10 minutes, and start the Cloud Sea Trail Health Path exercise from Xianyue Mountain Park. It belongs to Heshan Xianyue Community. The temple was founded in the late Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty (1712—1722), and because it stands alone on a solitary ridge and is hidden in deep mountains, it is rarely visited, and the history of its destruction and reconstruction is unclear. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, a monk from Nanshan Temple in Zhangzhou, Zhuanmi, took up residence here, worked hard, and rebuilt the temple, insisting on the dual practice of agriculture and Zen. In the early 1930s, the abbot of Miaoshi Temple, Master Shanlin, rebuilt and expanded the temple halls and dormitories, covering an area of more than 300 square meters. The Westin Xiamen is located in the CDB and is close to a nice park with lots of trees and a hill. We stayed in the club room which had a big living room, a very comfy bed and great city views. We had club lounge access which had an evening happy hour with wine and cocktails from 5.30-7.30pm. The food in the club lounge wasn’t bad, but it was very meat heavy and oily. Breakfast was decent.
