Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou: A low-key luxury experience During my trip to Guangzhou for the Lunar New Year, I chose to stay at the Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou in Zhujiang New Town. Among the many tower-view hotels, it is often considered an alternative, but it truly embodies low-key luxury. Comfortable accommodation 🏘️Room layout: I booked a Guangzhou Tower River View King Room and was lucky enough to be upgraded to the executive floor. The room layout remained the same, but the view was unbeatable. I could see the Canton Tower from my bed, and even on rainy days in Guangzhou, I didn't have to worry about clouds blocking the view. It was more reliable than the other "three tower-view hotels." The room features a European palace style, with white embossed walls and gold trim, complemented by dark wood furniture. The mix of Chinese and Western classical styles is harmonious and not abrupt. The suite is spacious, but the city view is relatively ordinary. However, the washbasin countertop is small, making it cramped for larger makeup bags, and the walk-in closet is also small. This may be a limitation of the hotel's original design. 🧹Soundproofing/cleanliness: The hotel has excellent soundproofing, providing a quiet environment for rest. The room was spotless, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, there were many mosquitoes in the room, so mosquito prevention measures may be needed. Rich facilities 🛌Amenities: The room is equipped with a coffee machine, TWG tea bags, and complimentary minibar soft drinks and snacks, which is very considerate. The toiletries are from Diptyque, with a subtle woody scent and rich milky aroma. Although I personally don't like it, the quality is undeniable. The renovated room has a smart toilet, fully electric curtains, a mirror TV, and other facilities, but the hairdryer is old and outdated. The alarm clock on the bedside table had loose internal parts, indicating room for improvement in hotel maintenance. The pool on the 4th floor features an outdoor design with European Roman columns, which is unique. Although I didn't have time to experience it, the appearance alone is appealing. I went to the Chinese restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou. Even though I made the reservation the day before, they prepared the birthday meal for free, which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere was also very relaxed, and many people were there celebrating anniversaries. It was my sister's birthday, so we were able to order a table the day before, which I thought was really Chinese. The food was delicious, and it cost about 30,000 yen for three people. There was actually a live koto performance on the day, so it was a time to enjoy Chinese culture, and I'm very grateful. My friend and I didn’t make an reservation in advance but the staff can still arrange seats for us which was nice. Had a beautiful staycation at the Ritz Carlton in Guangzhou from February 13-15th/2021 😌 It was a year since I saw my parents and sis, so this was a good getaway since I could not go home for the cny break. My room was beautiful, had a tub, view of the Pearl River and Canton Tower, had a gorgeous outdoor pool, yummy breakfast and an amazing comfy bed. 🥰 I was also welcomed with sweets as it was my first stay and CNY was celebrated the day before. I highly suggest this hotel for a nice getaway or staycation. It is also located near the GZ museum, library and opera house, as well as the K11 mall #happynewyear

The gym is fully equipped with all kinds of equipment, and I would go there every morning to exercise, which made me feel much more energetic. What surprised me most was the swimming pool - the water temperature was just right, and the environment around the pool was very quiet. Relaxing in the pool while looking at the skyscrapers outside felt especially pleasant. There's also a sauna room where you can steam away all your fatigue after a busy day. 🛌 Excellent Check-in Experience As soon as I entered the room, I was surrounded by a sense of luxury.
