London | The Oriental Junyong encounters the elegant British Peninsula Hotel opening
In its nearly a hundred years of history, the Peninsula Hotel has always been committed to forging each work into a classic. There are only 8 Peninsula Hotels in the world, but they have successfully created a series of 'golden old dreams'. In September, the London Peninsula Hotel welcomed its grand opening.
The Peninsula used the site of two 1960s office buildings and turned them into a luxury hotel and private residence complex. The hotel is located at the prime location where Hyde Park Corner and Wellington Arch intersect in London, within a 15-minute walk from many of the most representative landmarks, such as Buckingham Palace, Royal Parks, Westminster Palace, Harrods Department Store, and the boutique shops on Bond Street.
The 190 understated luxury rooms start from 51m in size, all rooms and suites are equipped with mahogany panelled cloakrooms, exquisite honey agate stone bathrooms, and exclusive decorations crafted by famous British craftsmen. Some rooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing unobstructed views of Wellington Arch and the historic Belgravia district.
The Peninsula Suite is the most magnificent suite of the Peninsula, including a private audio-visual room and fitness centre, and enjoys VIP pick-up service in the underground car park to achieve the best privacy and safety, with a total area of nearly 1,300 square meters.
The hotel's iconic rooftop restaurant, Brooklands, offers modern British cuisine and fine wines developed by Michelin-starred chef Claude Bosi; there is also a cigar cellar and cigar room steered by Manu Hari, who has the certification of 'Havana Cigar Master'; Canton Blue restaurant and the adjacent Little Blue bar offer innovative Chinese cuisine, cocktails and teas in an exotic environment; the hotel lobby tea room serves the iconic Peninsula afternoon tea and global cuisine; the Peninsula boutique and cafe serve fresh salads, sandwiches and desserts all day.
The Peninsula Spa and Fitness Centre is a luxurious sanctuary for beauty and health. It has separate saunas and steam rooms for men and women, six private rooms and a couple's treatment room, where guests can enjoy spa services such as healing massages, aromatherapy, and facial and body treatments.
Guests staying at the London Peninsula Hotel can still enjoy a series of special privileges from the Peninsula, including: 24-hour concierge service, valet parking service, Peninsula Academy, Peninsula Time, pet-friendly service, free private fleet service...
