The Peninsula Bangkok: Enjoy Top-notch Service
📍The Peninsula Bangkok is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River at 333 Charoen Nakhon Road, Bangkok! The hotel is conveniently located, just a 7–8 minute walk from the newly opened Icon Siam shopping center. The hotel also offers a free shuttle boat every half hour, which is very convenient!
🌟First of all, I have to praise the location. Although it is not in the city center, the river view is so beautiful. There are only about 12 rooms on each floor, and each room faces the river! The surrounding area is also very convenient for transportation, and shopping is just a few minutes away.🏞️
🏨The hotel has a late 1990s feel, but it is very high-end. The room facilities are a bit old, but they are well laid out and spacious. Check-in was quick, and the front desk staff were very friendly. The room is well-equipped, with a printer, various charging plugs, and other thoughtful details.
🛏️We chose a river view room with a balcony, and we were amazed when we opened the door! The room is spacious, and although the bed is small, it is very comfortable. I especially liked the charging plugs in the bedside table drawer, which solved my problem of charging multiple electronic devices. The welcome fruit and tea were also delicious!
🍽️Breakfast is definitely one of the highlights. I especially liked the salad area, which had a lot of organic vegetables, as well as Thai vegetables and smoked fish. The tea was served in silverware, which was very high-end. It was so relaxing to have breakfast by the river! However, I was a little disappointed that some of the food was not to my taste, especially some of the desserts.
🌆After a day of exploring, it was relaxing and healthy to work out in the hotel gym in the evening. The staff were very professional, and I especially appreciated one staff member who helped me stretch after my workout, which was very relaxing. There is also a daily handicraft display in the hotel lobby, where you can watch the making of Thai herbal compresses, which you can take home as souvenirs!
🏅One of the special features of The Peninsula is the Thai dessert display in the lobby in the afternoon, which you should definitely try. After a night out, I often relaxed in the pool, which was also great. The hotel's spa services are also worth experiencing, and once you try them, you'll never forget them!
🏞️For those who like to explore the area, I recommend visiting the nearby Wat Pho, which is a must-see. There are also many great restaurants, such as Nourish and The Silk Road, which are a foodie's paradise.
Overall, The Peninsula Bangkok is a bit dated, but it is still a place where you can enjoy top-notch service and beautiful views. If I have the chance, I will definitely come back!🌟💛
