𓊡 A Spanish Rhapsody of Oysters and Flames

The Optimist, located on Hennessy Road in Wan Chai, has recently launched the "Oyster Extravaganza" every Thursday, offering 90 minutes of all-you-can-eat French Fontana oysters at $588 per person! Paired with a variety of Spanish-style dishes and desserts. There was also the chef’s new 3-inch high cheesecake, which the team cut and served on the spot, adding a perfect sense of ceremony.
𓄗 PAN CON TOMATE
The classic Spanish tomato bread, spread with sweet and sour fresh tomato puree and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil, is simple but appetizing.
𓄗 TUNA TARTARE
The tender tuna tartar is paired with a slightly spicy jalapeno yuzu sauce, topped with salmon roe to add a salty and fresh flavor, and served with crispy fried bread cubes for a rich taste.
𓄗 MUSSELS
Mussels are cooked in white wine and seasoned with onions and chili powder. The sauce is rich and slightly spicy, perfect for dipping in bread.
𓄗 OYSTER FREE-FLOW
French Fundici oysters have plump meat, a refreshing taste with a mineral feel, moderate saltiness and are easy to eat, with a slightly sweet aftertaste and excellent freshness!
𓄗 SEABASS
Must-try recommendation! The sea bass is fried until the skin is crispy and golden, but the fish meat is tender and fatty inside. Paired with red bell pepper sauce and garlic mayonnaise, it has a rich but not greasy flavor.
𓄗 CHARGILLED BEEF STRLION
250g New Zealand sirloin steak, grilled to perfect doneness, the meat is tender and juicy, served with picchilo sauce and confit Padron peppers to add a layer of flavor.
𓄗 CHURROS
Freshly fried Spanish churros, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, dipped in rich chocolate sauce, rich and crispy.
𓄗 BURNT CREMA CATALANA
Personally recommend! The classic Spanish caramel pudding is poured with orange wine and then roasted on fire until it is crispy. The inside is smooth and delicious, and the lighting of the fire also creates a very visual effect and a sense of ritual.
𓄗 Cheesecake
The restaurant’s new 3-inch high cheesecake has a soft and dense texture, rich milky flavor, and is paired with sour and sweet berry jam, making the overall taste sweet but not greasy. Although the Oyster Extravaganza Menu does not include cheesecake, this flavor is definitely worth ordering extra!
The Optimist's "Oyster Feast" is cost-effective, the oysters are fresh, and the main dishes are of a stable standard. The environment is full of the relaxed atmosphere of a Spanish tavern, suitable for gathering with friends or having a drink on the weekend. But for those who are interested in the oyster feast limited to Thursdays, it is recommended that you make a reservation in advance.
