Ever wanted a beach vacation that doesn’t break the bank? Geger Beach is the perfect spot for you. Located in a gated community of resorts, (you can access even if you are not a resort guest), you are immediately brought into another world, different from the rest of Bali outside the gates (see pic 6). Either walk or take a grab in to access this amazing luxury. I recommend taking grab as the area inside the gates is really big, there’s many resorts, a golf club, beaches, shopping areas and restaurants. To skip the beach entrance fee, grab to either Nusa Dua Beach Grill, or to Bali Collection (need to walk through the golf course to access the beach but you will walk through an amazing line up of tall trees within the golf course, see pic 8). Find your empty spot on the beach and lay down your mats and enjoy the waters! There are two giant hotels in the south of Bali, one in Jimbaran and one in Nusa Dua. This is my third time in Bali, and I stayed in the three hotels in the giant hotel group in Nusa Dua: The Mulia, Mulia Villas, and Mulia Resort. I stayed in the Earl Beachfront Suite of The Mulia, which is an all-suite hotel, with an unbeatable sea view. There is also a massage pool on the huge terrace, which is amazing! Mulia is a local brand, built and operated by an Indonesian hotel group, so it understands the local customs and characteristics better. The hotel occupies the long white sand beach of Nusa Dua, which is the best beach in Bali. Compared with the crowded western beaches, Nusa Dua is quiet and private. It is also the best place to watch the sunrise in Bali. We can watch the sunrise from our suite by opening the curtains in the morning. The Mulia is huge, but a large area is used for public areas, and the greenery is amazing! The hotel is full of birds and flowers. It takes a whole day to visit the hotel. The hotel's catering is excellent, far exceeding the average level in Bali, especially the buffets in several restaurants. My favorite is the buffet dinner at Table8 Chinese Restaurant. It is not an exaggeration to say that it is the best buffet restaurant in Bali. The authentic Chinese food is freshly made, and the crab with ginger and scallion, sizzling squid, and sizzling chicken pot are all great.
