#winhkflight 📍The Mugshot Café 302, Chulia Street, Georgetown, 10200 George Town, Penang Had some coffee at this old school café in George Town Penang and it was a great experience! Love the hipster decoration of this café, and love the artsy and creative concept! There is seats for The Mugshot café, an optician at the back of the café, and a bakery. Ambiance and environment was great, setting was comfortable and cozy. Nice place to chill with friends and family, have small talks and for gatherings as there are plenty of seatings and tables down the narrow alley. We ordered coffee and pastries and they were decent. Would like to revisit! I wish to travel to Hong Kong for the food!

Love this concept! There’s cafe, optician at the back and a bakery. Deco is hipster fun with a lot of feel and creativity. It is nice to peep into the bakery’s kitchen, an small area visible to all who walks past the middle portion of the area We ordered the carrot cake which was way beyond our expectations. Moist and with chunks of walnuts for very yummy bites. Huge serving too. Would definitely recommend coming here!! I will be back again!! #malaysia

The Mugshot Cafe is one of the most modern and hip cafes you can find in Penang Georgetown. Their establishment is decorated with a modern chic and nature theme. Most of the furniture is either wood or stone. There’re a ton of art painted on the walls in the style of mugshots as well. They’re most famous for their pastries over here. I don’t think the taste they were going for was to my liking so I won’t comment much. But the drinks were not great. We got the Iced Latte and Iced Chocolate and they tasted incredibly bland and watered down. Their pastries were a bit flat and stale too. This cafe used to serve the best bagel in town, but now the service has dropped dramatically and the service is pretty bad as well, maybe because the cafe location is very good so food quality and service quality isn’t that important after all. Order led their cream cheese smoked salmon bagel and coffee, they price their coffee and bagel with very steep price tag, but the taste & quality really did not up to the standard! To be honest, we are pretty disappointed with the whole dining experience, hopefully in the future they can improve on the food and the service as well! They serve plenty of International Cuisines from dishes to desserts, as well as great pastries and bakeries in the choices. We ordered some of the Chef Recommended dishes and coffee to try on, all are great and super tasty. Avg. Price per Person - reasonable price.

The café is of moderate size with multiple tables and seatings, is more suitable for smaller groups of visitors! Love the ambiance of the store, lively and laid back with chatters and laughters of patrons! The pastries and baked goods are nicely arranged at the shelves, which was really tempting and appetising, would love to try some of that next time!

The Mugshot Cafe is located in 302, Chulia Street, George Town, Penang. Famous for its acclaimed Bagel, freshly baked by wood fired oven with variety filling, plus nice coffee. I had Cream Cheese Bagel with Smoked Salmon, nice crispy on the outside topped with sesame seeds and when you bite into it, it's a nice warm fluffy goodness, and Cappuccino Latte is smoothly and aromatic. The cafe ambience is cozy and rustic, really a nice place for relaxing breakfast but the pricing is a bit steep. This cafe perhaps is a great European-style cafe, when I was there, found that more then half of customer are foreigners.
