【Da Nang】Marble Mountain
I visited Marble Mountain (Ngu Hanh Son), a famous site where nature and history harmonize beautifully in the outskirts of Da Nang! Located about 9 km from the city center, this area features five marble hills named after the elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. The site is dotted with caves and Buddhist temples, creating a truly sacred atmosphere.
Among them, the largest peak, Thuy Son (Water Mountain), can be accessed via climbing stairs or a glass elevator. At the summit, I was captivated by the panoramic view of Da Nang city and the South China Sea. Descending the stone steps, I reached the Huyen Khong Cave, where light streaming through a hole in the ceiling created a magical ambiance. The cave houses a large Buddha statue and altars, offering a serene and sacred space.
Additionally, temples like Tam Thai and Linh Ung showcase historical and artistic elements through their ancient carvings and dragon decorations. Visiting in the morning is recommended, as the site opens at 7:00 AM, allowing you to explore leisurely during the cooler hours and avoid crowds.
At the foot of the mountain, marble workshops line the area, where you can admire the craftsmanship of sculptures and shop for souvenirs. With an entrance fee of 40,000 VND and an elevator fee of 15,000 VND, this special place where faith, nature, and culture intersect is easily accessible and truly worth visiting 😊
