Review
Château de Chambord is an extraordinary place where history, art, and nature converge. Its double-helix staircase, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, is a highlight. The rooftop terraces offer spectacular views of the estate, making it worth climbing all those stairs. The gardens are perfect for picnics, so pack some local cheese and wine to enjoy the scenery. Renting a bike lets you explore the vast grounds efficiently and adds an element of adventure. While the entrance fee can be steep, the audio guide is a good value for deeper insight into the castle’s history. Early morning visits allow for serene exploration and great photos without the crowd.

Loire Castles
We took an optional tour from Paris to visit the Loire castles of Chambord, Chenonceau, Clos Lucé, and Amboise.
You can't see everything in one day, so it's best to take a leisurely tour on a private tour.
Chambord is a fairly large castle, so it takes a while to see the whole thing.
Chateau Chenonceau is a beautiful castle built on water.
Clos Lucé is where Leonardo da Vinci spent his later years. The interior from that time and reproductions of da Vinci's inventions are on display.

[France] The castle that was the model for the live-action film Beauty and the Beast
📍Château de Chambord
Château de Chambord is a castle that makes you feel like you've entered the world of medieval Europe. It is one of the World Heritage Sites.
It was the model for the live-action film Beauty and the Beast.
It was conceived by Leonardo da Vinci and built for Francis I.
It is the largest and most impressive castle in the Loire Valley, and is a representative example of French Renaissance architecture.
It is said that Francis I was impressed by the splendor of Renaissance art during his Italian expedition and decided to build a castle incorporating that architectural style after returning home.
It was actually built not as a residence for Francis I, but as a symbol of power, with its gorgeous, beautiful and spacious gardens, and as a place to stay during hunting, and its environment surrounded by forests makes it an ideal location.
The second photo shows the spiral staircase, one of the highlights of the Château de Chambord.
It's not an ordinary spiral staircase.
This is a double spiral staircase, said to have been designed by Leonardo da Vinci.
The two pairs of staircases spiral without intersecting, allowing people to ascend and descend without passing each other.
It's interesting, isn't it?♡
When my mother and I actually went down the stairs from different entrances, we never passed each other once.🙃

The cities and villages along the Loire River are also part of the world's cultural heritage, and legends and stories about the Loire Valley have been passed down from generation to generation. The place where the port and the sailors meet is often the birthplace of these stories. You can visit the museum in Newcastle to get a comprehensive understanding of the various legends of the Loire Valley, or you can find a French-speaking partner on the riverside. Take a walk on the embankment.
Desperado.
There are many rural towns scattered around the Loire Valley, and there is no sound after eight or nine every night. Driving in secluded streets and lanes, only the warm yellow lights in the windows of the people accompany the travellers crossing the road, much like the hometown of the protagonist in the fairy tale. In a small town, I ate a delicious ice cream called Amorino. You must see this brand of ice cream to buy. It seems that the country already sells it.
Desperado.
In addition to the splendid castles of the Loire Valley, don't miss out on this rural pastoral experience. In the morning, it was awakened by the buzzing sound in the kitchen. The landlord had drove from where she lived to prepare breakfast. I am not hungry, I washed my two faces and I was so lazy and hungry waiting for breakfast. There are two thick and long French sticks next to my seat. Everyone takes a knife and cuts it around me. Listening to the sound of it being cut, I feel happy, how can the hard things swallow? what.
The morning sun is mild and bright, the flowers in the small courtyard are just right, everything makes people feel warm and awake. I seem to be able to recall the mood that morning, my dark green car parked not far away, after a while, I will drive it through the fields and forests, to the king's castle.
Desperado.
