As Mother's Day approaches, I invited my mother to have a buffet dinner early. The first choice is the Langham Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui.
I’ve eaten here a few times before and am confident in The Food Gallery. It just so happened that the restaurant was doing a "Thai Authentic Theme Buffet". At first, I was afraid that eating Thai food wouldn't pay off, but in the end I actually made a profit. 🥳
We were seated on time at 6pm. The restaurant is not large, the decor is beautiful, and the food is concentrated enough. I don't think there are particularly few dishes, just not a large plate. In addition to Thai cuisine, there is naturally no shortage of seafood, salads and steaks from all over the world. Big eaters will definitely recoup their money.
Seafood cold plates include Boston lobster🦞, Canadian mussels, emerald snails, prawns, sashimi, longleg crab and Swedish lobster. I tried everything, fresh, no dead salty taste, less long-legged crab meat, but the quality of the lobster was enough. This time it's American 🇺🇸 oysters, small size, lighter seawater taste, the taste is not as complex as French 🇫🇷 oysters, the taste is acceptable. The sashimi is fresh and the scallops are giant, however there will be no surprises. To match the Thai 🇹🇭 theme, the chef specially prepared Thai spicy sauce, sour and spicy, with seafood 🦞 quite good.
Hot dishes include Thai fried crab, fried chicken, curry chicken, duck, etc., I can't count them all. There was a surprise with the skewers, the meat was tender and not dry. The red curry duck was superb, the duck meat was very tender, served with the red curry was very tasty, the evidence was taken x3, instead the green curry beef was a bit discolored, the beef was tender, however not into the green curry flavor. In addition to Thai cuisine, there are Indian curry and a small amount of Chinese cuisine, insect fungus chicken stew, good 👌.
Thai cuisine, of course, is not missing Hainanese chicken rice. I saw the chef cutting the chicken and ordered a bowl. The chicken should be soaked, tender, taste rice light, but good.
Because of the theme, desserts are added Thai ingredients, white mousse has a light lemongrass flavor, perfect mix and match, banlan cake is delicious, personally recommend durian layer and durian puff, durian lovers must like, light taste, not "stealing" I really want to ask what brand of ice cream it is, it tastes very smooth, I recommend coconut 🥥 ice cream, with shredded coconut, my mother ate it twice.
The Thai theme of the restaurant is not a name, most of the dishes are infused with Thai cuisine elements, which is very sincere. The price for two adults plus one old meal is about HK$2000. Approaching Mother's Day prices are considered so, the most important thing is that the elderly eat happily, and sit comfortably, is earned. 🫶👍👍👍
