The Gateway Arch
Well done National Park Service! I bought tickets online about a month ahead of time. I was able to have the tickets on my phone. We arrived about 30 to 45 minutes ahead of our tour time to allow for the security check. At the appointed time we were directed through the tour. The tour guides were courteous and very helpful answering questions. The views from the top are spectacular and for me, well worth the price of admission. The ride up and down is a little bumpy and the pod is a little claustrophobic, but should be no problem for most people. There is a historical museum after entry and before or after the tour that is worth a walk through. There is a concession stand of sorts as well as a souvenir shop. Overall, a great experience!

St. Louis - Overlook the glorious city of the west from the top of the Gateway Arch.
St. Louis' magical architectural wonder, the Gateway Arch 😎 During the colonial period, immigrants began to move westward, conquering remote areas in search of a living. St. Louis was a must-pass for these indomitable pioneers. They vividly called St. Louis the "Gateway to the West."
🤍 The Gateway Arch can be reached by elevator, but you need to make a reservation in advance ⚠️ At the top of the arch, there are 16 small windows on each side, offering a panoramic view of St. Louis. Below the arch is the Museum of Westward Expansion.
🤍 There are very few people in downtown St. Louis, and most of them are concentrated at the attractions. We also visited Washington University in St. Louis and even caught a graduation ceremony 🎓 The 1904 Olympics were held in St. Louis, and it was once a glorious city... The Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis is also very impressive...

A day trip to St. Louis.
Although it was just a quick day trip, I really liked the city of St. Louis. It was safer, quieter, and more beautiful than I expected.
[Stay] The Golden Hotel is located in Clayton. The surrounding community looks very quiet. I personally feel it is quite safe. There are also many Chinese restaurants nearby. When my local friends heard that I also chose to stay in Clayton, they exclaimed: everyone stays in Clayton. Double-certified safety haha, it's quite safe if you don't go to the east side of the river and Ferguson and Florissant to the north.
[Play] Two places
9 Arches: A must-visit place for tourists. Take a walk under the big arch, take a walk in the park with the evening breeze and sunset, and look at the other side of the river, there is a kind of quiet little happiness. However, parking in the city is indeed not easy. If you want to park for free on weekends, you really have to turn around a few more times to find street parking. P Saint Louis Zoo: Highly recommended! Free admission, parking is $20, but there are also many free parking spaces on the roadside within a 15-minute walk. The park is very large and it takes at least half a day to visit it carefully. There are also many places to rest, and there are park loungers every few steps.
[Eat]
ChiliSpot: There is no queue, the store is very lively, and it can be seen that it is indeed a popular Chinese restaurant in St. Village. I ordered boiled beef and Sichuan cold noodles. Although it is not the most delicious Sichuan cuisine I have ever eaten, I think this taste is already very good. The boiled beef is thin slices of meat, without excessive slurry, and the obvious disadvantage is that the knife work is average and the texture of the meat is not cut correctly.
