🚢 Explore into a whole new world - FRAM Oslo 🇧🇻☃️
🚌 Located in Oslo, you can take bus no.30 to its western terminus and explore FRAM - a museum about Norwegian historic polar explorations cruises 🚢
🏘️ Housing two polar exploration vessels - Fram and Gjøa, the museum will teach you how adventurous the Norwegians are...😮 In fact, this is the only country in the world which claimed land in both the Arctic and the Antarctic! 😍🇧🇻
📖 From science to all the historic legends, from movies to the actual story books - this museum has them all. ☃️ What's more, you can also walk into the narrow compartments of the vessel Fram 😋, to have a glimpse of how shipmen lived in the boat for 4 consecutive years!
🕣 If you have time, why not explore the Norway folk museum, which is just 10 minutes away from here? 😃 The museum is so fantastic that even Norwegian families themselves love to go! 😮
So what are you waiting for! Buy a ticket and get going! 🎫✈️

Oslo is a paradise for museums. There are several museums on the museum island. After reading the folk museum, we will go to the Polar Ship Museum, also known as the Fram Museum, which was built on May 20, 1936 in Norway. The Ogly Bigue Peninsula is adjacent to many other museums, including the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History and the Norwegian Maritime Museum. The
museum is a very rare triangular building with an interior that takes full advantage of the height and space, and displays Norway's first expedition vessel, the Fram, designed for polar expeditions. When you walk into the museum, you will feel like you are immersed in the world and set foot on the world's most famous polar ship marching number to experience the exciting polar storm.
Follow me on the world's most famous polar ship, the Fram and Gja boats. Every once in a while, there will be new video shows to experience the polar storm, or you can explore the boat. A lot of new things! The icy polar simulator, children's activity center, exhibitions in 10 languages, as well as cafes and outdoor seating, as well as museum gift shops have exclusive products, the world's largest polar bookstore, open every day.

During my summer trip to Oslo, I explored The Fram Museum on Bygdøy Peninsula, and it was a standout experience! 🌍🚢 The museum is dedicated to Arctic exploration and is home to the Fram, the world’s strongest polar ship. Entrance costs around 120 NOK (about $12), which is a bargain for the immersive journey through polar history.
Walking through the Fram itself was incredible; you get a real sense of what it was like on expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic. The exhibits are hands-on and engaging, showcasing the bravery of explorers like Fridtjof Nansen and Roald Amundsen. 🌨️🧭 Nearby, you can visit the Viking Ship Museum and the Kon-Tiki Museum, all within easy reach and perfect for a full day of exploration.
If you’re fascinated by polar history or enjoy maritime adventures, The Fram Museum is definitely a must-visit in Oslo.

The Fram Museum is a museum telling the story of Norwegian polar exploration. If you didn’t know, Fram is the strongest wooden ship ever built and still holds the records for sailing farthest north and farthest south. At the Fram Museum you can come on board the ship and see how the crew and their dogs managed to survive in the coldest and most dangerous places on earth – the Arctic and the Antarctic. Certainly a museum to visit whilst in Oslo and it will be a hit with the kids too.
Oslo is perfect for a city break and you can easily visit and see the top attractions in a weekend. It’s an easy city to fly to with hand luggage only and very easy to get around.
