Floating Mosque in Penang
Tanjung Bungah Floating Mosque, also known as Masjid Tanjung Bungah or Masjid Terapung in Malay, which translates to Tanjung Flower Mosque, is a large mosque located on the sea by Tanjung Bungah Beach. It offers a 360-degree view of the sea and beach. The mosque is built on stilts embedded into the water, giving it the appearance of floating. It is the first mosque in Malaysia to be constructed on the sea.

The Penang Floating Mosque is a beautiful and unique mosque located in Tanjung Bungah, Penang, Malaysia. It is built on a platform in the sea and has a striking white and blue design. The mosque is open to visitors of all faiths and is a popular tourist destination. I would definitely recommend visiting it if you are in Penang.
The mosque is a stunning sight, especially at sunset. The white and blue colors of the mosque reflect off the water, creating a beautiful and serene effect. The mosque is also a great place to learn about Islamic architecture and culture.
If you are in Penang, I would definitely recommend visiting the Penang Floating Mosque. It is a truly unique and special place that you will not forget.

Tanjung Bungah Floating Mosque@Penang
Very few would have notice this unique architecture along their way towards the beach in Batu Ferringhi; introducing the one and only Floating Mosque of Penang. Constructed in 2003 with the cost of MYR15 million, it was officially opened to the public in January 2005 that can accommodate to 1,500 worshippers.
Though the name is floating mosque, it is actually built on stilts when only at high tide it would appeared to look like the mosque is floating on water, a charm ain’t it?😊
