✍️Must-listen tips for traveling to Egypt🎈, there are surprises and lessons!
For this trip to Egypt, I was full of expectations and a little nervous. After coming back, I felt that this trip was really an unforgettable adventure! Here, I have compiled a super practical guide and a guide to avoid thunder for Egypt travel for everyone, I hope it will be helpful to the sisters who are about to start! 💕
💣Avoid Thunder:
1. Although Egypt is generally safe, there are still scammers and people who take advantage of it. When you encounter those who say "money money" in the scenic area, you know, don't listen to your ears and don't bother. 😌
2. When you need help, you can consider giving them a little tip, usually in the tens of Egyptian pounds, that is, a few yuan. 🔧
3. The price is really super friendly, remember to bargain! There is also the iced little souvenir...😭 The companion may get it at half the price! Tears...
4. For sisters with poor English or lack of free travel experience, it is a good choice to follow the group. It's safe and worry-free, and there are police uncles! 🚓
5. Remember to change the Egyptian pound in Cairo, it may be a bit troublesome to change it elsewhere. Don't bring RMB, just use US dollars to change Egyptian pounds. 💡
6. Some places in Egypt are indeed a bit dilapidated and smelly, but this is its true face, everyone should be prepared. 🌿
🌟Highlights:
1. Pyramid Tour🗿 Don't miss it! The exclusive scenic spot photos will be sent out from the landscape restaurant. It is to stay away from the crowd and feel the shock of the pyramid from the most beautiful perspective.
2. Abu Simbel Temple⛲ The online reviews are not the same but it is definitely worth a visit! The spectacular scenery will make you feel it's all worth it.
3. Egyptian Museum🏛️ Extremely rich collection! The treasures inside are waiting for you to discover.
4. Hot Air Balloon Tour🎈 The group price in the team is super affordable! And it feels safer. 🚂
5. I especially recommend you to go to the Abu Simbel Market🎱 This market full of local characteristics in Egypt is full of local characteristics. A good guide can help you better explore the cultural atmosphere of this city!
No matter where you go, the most important thing is to have an expectant mood and an optimistic attitude! This trip to Egypt will definitely become your beautiful memory. May everyone gain a lot on the road to exploring the unknown! ✨

This is a tearful guide to avoiding pitfalls in Cairo
The stunning Red Sea, the rich history, and the brilliant civilization are all points that still move me whenever I recall my trip to Egypt.
But in Cairo, countless scams significantly affect the travel experience.
So I decided to share the common pitfalls in Cairo, hoping to help those who are about to set off.
▫️
1⃣️ At Cairo Airport, you go through security first, then get your boarding pass and check your luggage. During security, staff might hold your passport for various reasons (the aim is to make you pay for the fast track). At this point, be firm. We directly snatched our passport back from his hand.
2⃣️ When you leave the airport, most taxis are scams and overcharge heavily. After exiting the arrival hall, cross the road and walk to the airport parking area to call an Uber.
▫️
3⃣️ Be wary of overly enthusiastic locals who approach you without you asking for directions or help. If they excessively praise you or offer to take you somewhere, it's usually a scam.
4⃣️ Anyone at the entrance of the pyramids telling you the site is closed today, offering to guide you or buy tickets, or chasing you for photos, is a scam. Ignore them.
▫️
5⃣️ The souvenir vendors at the entrance of the pyramids or the Egyptian Museum shouting "one dollar" sell poor-quality fridge magnets and papyrus paintings. They are not genuinely one dollar; many scammed tourists say it's actually one dollar just to look.
6⃣️ You can haggle camel rides at the pyramids down to 100 EL, and horse carriages to about 300 EL. Agree on the price before getting on and record a video as proof to avoid disputes later.
▫️
7⃣️ All restrooms charge a fee. Carry small change, or you might encounter staff pretending not to have change. Don't engage with people standing by the tissue dispenser offering you tissues; they charge one dollar per sheet.
8⃣️ Items at the Khan El Khalili market are obviously made in Yiwu. If you really want to shop, keep an eye on your bag and haggle aggressively.
▫️
9⃣️ Whether at a street-side restaurant or a fast-food chain like KFC, always count your change in front of the cashier. We encountered numerous instances where they intentionally gave less change, only to reluctantly give the correct amount when pointed out, indicating they knew the correct amount all along.
🔟 Street-side juice stalls charge 1-2 dollars per cup. Anything more is a scam!
▫️
1⃣️1⃣️ Keep a bottle of mineral water in your bag. The pyramid area is very sunny, and there are no water vendors.
1⃣️2⃣️ It's best to travel in groups at night. We encountered a group of kids trying to snatch our bags.

Just returned from Egypt and I want to share some heartfelt words with everyone....
👉【About Visa】👈
Egypt currently offers visa on arrival for $25 per person, cash only. Make sure to prepare in advance as they do not accept credit cards. If you really don't have cash, there are two banks next to the visa counter where you can exchange money.
▪️
👉【About Travel Methods】👈
If it's a girl's first time visiting, it's best not to choose a self-guided tour. Although Egypt is generally safe, it's still easy to encounter scammers, and the chances of being overcharged for food, clothing, and other necessities are high. Moreover, Cairo and Luxor have many cultural and historical sites, and without a guide, you miss out on a lot of fun. It's recommended to choose a qualified travel agency for a group tour. If you feel that group tours are not free enough and the budget is higher, you can opt for a private tour.
▪️
👉【About Sun Protection】👈
Make sure to do a good job with sun protection! Physical sun protection is best, but chemical sun protection is also necessary! Once you get there, you'll understand that the temperature is really high and the sun is really strong. If you're not careful, you'll get several shades darker (don't ask me how I know, sob sob...)
▪️

Egyptian Museum | Artifacts are simply placed everywhere
| Artifacts are simply placed everywhere.📝 The Egyptian National Museum is one of the must-visit attractions in Cairo. As the most famous museum in Egypt, it displays countless artifacts spanning from the ancient Egyptian to the Roman period.
📍Address: The museum is located at Liberation Square, Google Maps can navigate directly, there is a parking lot, and the subway can also get there.
📍Tickets: 450 Egyptian pounds, cannot be paid in cash directly, but you can find someone at the entrance to swipe a credit card for you.
📍Time: 9:00-17:00
📝 The Egyptian Museum houses over 120,000 artifacts, which were founded in 1858 by the Frenchman Mariette. The museum is divided into two floors, displaying relics and exhibits from the ancient Egyptian period to the Roman rule era.
1️⃣ The first floor of the museum mainly displays general artifacts from ancient Egypt, divided into three major parts according to chronological order: the New Kingdom, the Middle Kingdom, and the Old Kingdom, spanning from around 1550 to 1069 BC, including statues, tables, sarcophagi, columns, and relief walls.
2️⃣ The second floor has different exhibition rooms, displaying the most precious artifacts, among which the treasures of the museum such as Tutankhamun's golden mask, anthropoid gold coffins, and the golden throne are located here.
📝 The interior of the museum is not large, but the sheer number of artifacts on display is breathtaking, with many artifacts simply placed around without any protective measures.
📝 If you are interested in Egyptian culture, you can spend a good half day here. Ordinary visitors should be able to tour in about 3 hours. If you want to see more details, you can watch some documentaries in advance as homework, and hire a guide, although the quality of the guides is entirely a matter of luck.
📝 Another thing to note is that the mummies in the Egyptian Museum have all been moved to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, so if you want to see the mummies, you'll have to visit another museum.

Ancient Egyptian god
Horus One of my favorite statues at the Egyptian Museum &
A Horus, the falcon god, was the helper of Ra and symbolized the powers of the Pharaoh during most of Egyptian history.
After avenging the death of his father, Osiris, he inherited the right to rule over the land of Egypt and went on to become one of the most important gods in the Egyptian pantheon 🗿#newyearadventure #2023travelwish #tripblazers

Getting There - I used an Uber to get here and bought the ticket myself and explored the museum myself . This is a sign for you to trust Uber when in Cairo .
Attractions - Very ancient Artefacts that go way way back , they are very beautiful and well preserved . The most beautiful one for me was the clear see through coffin that was used to bury the kings , it was covered in cold and many beautiful colours.
Hotels - I stayed at the Al Masa hotel , which is beyond lovely .
Food & Restaurants - I did a walking tour of Cairo city centre and got the opportunity to taste some local food .
Shopping - You can spend some time at the museum to buy some small gifts for friends and family in the museum shop .

Egyptian museum in Cairo
#bucketlistreboot
Nested near the Tahrir Square where the 2011 revolution happened, the Egyptian Museum can be accessed through one of the side streets in between the hotels.
The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, known commonly as the Egyptian Museum or the Cairo Museum, is home to an extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities. It has 120,000 items, with a representative amount on display and the remainder in storerooms.
The museum showcases many mummies and burial artefacts. It also hosts a detailed exposition with the actual King Tutankhamun’s sarcophagus and belongings including the famous burial golden mask.

Breathtaking, your heart beat will stop!
I am passionate of Egyptian culture and I read many stories about Egypt. I have been fortunate to visit Cairo for myself and it has been a life experience. After visiting the pyramids and other places around, I wasn’t sure if Cairo Museum was going to be that fascinating. IT IS!! I totally recommend you to invest your money and time in this place because it is worth it. It is amazing how things got preserve. You can see the mummies, pendants, tombs, sculptures. The museum is very well prepare with little cards to help you discover more about it and if you want to get deeper you can always get and audio guide or a local guide at the entrance. Personally, I am looking forward to go back there.

The Egyptian Museum.
The Egyptian Museum is the one of the oldest archaeological museum with the largest collection of antiquities in Cairo. It is a historic landmark in downtown, which makes it really easy to get there either by taxy or walking if you stay in nearby hotels. The collection is huge so you might want to spend three or four hours if you want to read specific details. It is a big place, colourful and with a beautiful architecture. After the visit, you can also enjoy some shopping or nice food as there are many restaurants and shops around the area. This museum is home to some of the world’s most magnificent ancient masterpieces that you must see in person. It opens to the public everyday from 9am to 7pm.

Day at the museum
A classic museum housing rich Egyptian artifacts from the pyramids and various temples from the environs. It's located in the heart of the city right near Tahir square and it is a very interesting site where you can see famous pieces such as the Mask of Tutankhamun (no pictures allowed).
There is an admission fee but it's worth it and you can even pay one of the many guides at the doors to show you the main pieces while offering good descriptions as the interior can be a maze of sorts and without proper guidance you can miss certain must sees. The artifacts are absolutely beautiful and the detail and colors of each piece is absolutely a joy to take in. Although there are many pieces being moved to the new Egyptian Museum next to the pyramids, there is still a rich selection of artifacts that will occupy a good portion of your morning or afternoon. It is also an incredible opportunity to come up close to things that you read about on history books so definitely make time to visit this museum, you won't regret it!

Seven Wonders
The last surviving of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Pyramids of Giza are one of the world's most recognizable landmarks.
Having awed travelers down through the ages, these tombs of the Pharaohs Cheops (Khufu), Chephren (Khafre), and Mycerinus (Menkaure), guarded by the enigmatic Sphinx, are usually top of most visitor's lists of tourist attractions to see in Egypt and often the first sight they head to after landing.
Today, sitting on the desert edge of Cairo's sprawl, these megalithic memorials to dead pharaohs are still as wondrous a sight as they ever were and an undeniable highlight of any Egypt trip.

Egypt's most mysterious museum, unveil the millennium pharaoh veil! The museum has a collection of 250,000 cultural treasures of Egypt. Friends say that even if we visit for two days and two nights, we have to go see it.
Stepping into the main building, a thick atmosphere mixed with historical turmoil came. The most outstanding thing is that Tutankhamun is displayed with funeral objects. The golden bed, the golden chair, the golden rod, and the golden glory!
The pharaoh is quietly lying in a constant temperature and humidity glass box. When everything is dusty, even if it is left behind, it is empty.
Tips: The Egyptian museum is not big as it is only two floors, but the collection is rich and compact. If it is not clear; you can accompany the tour guide at the door; the ticket price is 350 lbs/person. If you need to take a photo, pay a photo charge.

The oldest museum in Africa, face to face with mummies! Unveiling the mysterious veil of Pharaoh
The Egyptian Museum is known as the Pride of Cairo. It is like a Treasure Island, full of treasures, vast and vast. My friend and I first came here, lost in the cultural relics, and turned to lost the road.
Pure gold enamel with glaze and ivory, god whip scepter and visceral snow can, wearing a sacred snake like a pharaoh statue wearing a gold skirt, 4700 years of vivid papyrus painting... Tens of thousands of treasures are private, just like this millennium old city, sometimes faint and sometimes bleak.
Tips: Before 9:00 am and after 3 pm, the museum has a small flow of people and the largest number of visitors at noon; if you want to take photos or take photos, remember to buy a photo coupon in advance (there will be staff to check) ticket). The most wonderful golden masks and golden dragonflies are on the second floor. If you don't want to line up, you can stroll upstairs.
Cherry Zhu.
The Egyptian Museum is located near the Liberation Square in downtown Cairo and was designed and built by the famous French archaeologist Marie in 1863. The whole museum is divided into upper and lower floors. More than 300,000 pieces of exhibits show people the civilization of ancient Egypt. When the items of thousands of years ago appear so completely in front of your eyes, you will not be able to sigh, the wisdom of the ancient people!

The Egyptian Museum in Cairo
The Egyptian Museum in Cairo is located in the city center. Although some items have started to be moved to the new Grand Egyptian Museum, there are still many exhibits here, including Tutankhamun. While the space is a bit cramped compared to the Grand Egyptian Museum, each has its own charm.
The gift shop here has a lot of items, and you can also use US dollars for transactions. I personally find it quite good for shopping. Compared to the gift shop at the Grand Egyptian Museum, the prices here are more friendly.
