Hangzhou in spring is always intoxicatingly beautiful, and the peach blossoms in Qinghe Fang Street add a unique touch of romance to this city. Today I'm sharing a travel guide to enjoying peach blossoms in Qinghe Fang Street, so let's embark on a spring date together!
📍Location: Hefang Street Historical District, Shangcheng District, Hangzhou
⏰Flowering Period: Late March - Early April, though the blooming period may vary depending on weather conditions. Remember to check weather and blossom updates before your trip to choose the best time!
🕙Opening Hours: The district is open all day, free to visit, no tickets required
🚗Transportation Guide:
🚇Subway: Take the subway to [Wushan Square] station, exit from Exit D, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Qinghe Fang.
🚌Bus: Take bus routes 8, 84, 127, 195, etc., and get off at [Qinghe Fang] stop.
🚗Driving: There are parking lots at Southern Song Dynasty Imperial City Town (Qinghe Fang Historical and Cultural Featured District) underground parking lot and Hefang Street Scenic Area parking lot. However, there are many vehicles during holidays, so public transportation is recommended to avoid traffic jams and parking troubles.
🌸Blossom Viewing Route:
1. Wushan Square - Drum Tower: Start from Wushan Square, first experience the spring atmosphere in the square, and enjoy various spring flowers and landscapes. Then head to the Drum Tower, which is the landmark building of Qinghe Fang. The ancient architecture complements the blooming peach blossoms beside it. Taking photos in front of the Drum Tower with the pink peach blossoms feels like traveling back in time and makes for stunning pictures.
2. Dajing Lane: As you stroll through Dajing Lane, you'll see blooming peach blossoms along the way. The deep alleys with peach blossoms scattered throughout are full of life. When tired, you can sit in a small shop by the street, have a cup of tea, enjoy the flowers - it's extremely pleasant.
🍱Food Recommendations:
1. Jiang Shunfa Dingsheng Cake: A shop with over a decade of history, their 5 yuan osmanthus cake is sweet and soft, giving you a mouthful of happiness with every bite.
2. Longxiang Stinky Tofu: A shop with over twenty years of history, stinky tofu is 13 yuan per serving, rice cake is 2 yuan per piece. Fried crispy outside and tender inside, paired with sweet bean paste and Hangzhou chili sauce, the taste is superb.
3. Grandma Sun's Green Onion Pancake: The pancake should be flattened, with attention to cooking time. When both sides are slightly golden, wrap it with Grandma Sun's homemade vegetarian roast goose and spread with secret sweet sauce for a rich taste experience.
4. Youbu Soy Milk: Experience Hangzhou's breakfast trio - soy milk, fried dough sticks, and baked flatbread. Salty soy milk is their signature, made with green onions, soy sauce, fried dough sticks, and hot soy milk. Here, the flatbread and fried dough sticks taste best when eaten together.
📸Photography Tips:
1. Use morning or evening light, as soft lighting makes peach blossoms more vibrant and adds dimension to portraits.
2. Use ancient street buildings and peach blossoms as backgrounds. Stand under trees or by the street to capture natural moments for atmospheric photos.
Grab your camera and good mood, and come to Qinghe Fang to catch the tail end of spring and enjoy a date with peach blossoms! 💕
