Tham Jang, Vang Vieng, Lao PDR
#Fly to Hong Kong
Visit Tham Jang, Vang Vieng, Laos
Address - Vang Vieng, Laos
Atmosphere/Location - Tham Jang is located on the opposite side of Vang Vieng city. It is on the other side of the Song River, about 5 kilometers away. The road is a gravel road. Be careful when driving.
There are 2 points to pay for the fee: through the gate, which is the resort area. When you pass the gate, you have to park your car and cross the river to the cave. Before, there was an orange bridge at this point, but now it is broken. The place has made a wooden bridge for you to cross.
When you cross to the other side, there will be shops in the community with drinks, snacks, and local forest products for you to buy. But it is recommended to buy them when you come back down from the cave. After walking for a while, you will reach the entrance to the cave. At the back
The fee payment point at night, there will be a pool. It is a small waterfall flowing out of the cave. The water is blue, clear, very beautiful. There is an orange bridge for you to walk and see the pool. You can also swim there. The weather outside is cool and shady.
Point 2: Buy tickets at the entrance to the cave. Walk up the stairs that are not very high to the cave on the top of the mountain. Along the way, there will be places to stop and rest. There is a view of the rocky mountains and the forest on the side.
When you reach the front of the cave, there will be another resting point. When we walk into the cave, there will be a fork in the road, an entrance and an exit that connect to each other. There is a bridge connecting each point. In the cave tunnel, there are stalactites and stalagmites that sparkle.
The air inside the cave is cool and comfortable. There are lights along the way. It is another impressive tourist attraction in Vang Vieng. It is recommended to come in the morning so that there are not many people and the air is good.
Opening hours: 8:00–16:00 Open every day
Average price per person - Parking fee 5,000 kip / Cave entrance fee 15,000 kip
Score - 8.5/10

🌿 Vang Vieng Reborn: From Bucket Lists to Bamboo Bridges in Laos' Adventure Playground!
#springitinerary
Hey thrill-seekers and sunset chasers! 🚣♂️ Just got back from Vang Vieng – the once-notorious party town that’s traded tubing ragers for jaw-dropping nature (but kept just enough mischief). Think turquoise lagoons, limestone karsts that belong on a screensaver, and the kind of adventures that’ll make your Instagram followers actually jealous. Here’s how to do Vang Vieng right in 2024!
💦 The Blue Lagoon That Stole My Heart (And My Dignity)
At Blue Lagoon 3, I:
✅ Swung off a 10m rope swing like Tarzan
✅ Floated in water so blue it looked photoshopped
✅ Face-planted trying to backflip (thanks to the cheering crowd of backpackers)
Pro tip: Go early – by noon, it’s packed with daredevils and GoPro-wielding influencers.
🚴 The Scooter Adventure That Almost Broke Me
Rented a $6 scooter to chase karst views. Highlights:
• Phangern Cave’s pitch-dark tunnels (headlamp required!)
• Nam Xay Viewpoint’s 360° panorama (after *40 minutes of stair-climbing agony*)
• Getting chased by a rooster at a roadside noodle stall (true story)
🍕 The Unexpected Foodie Twist
Vang Vieng’s secret MVP? Tandoori Night at Vang Vieng Organic Farm. A Lao-Indian fusion feast by candlelight, with naan so good I cried. (Yes, really.)
⏳ My Perfect 3-Day Vang Vieng Itinerary
Day 1 – Waterfalls & Water Sports
8:00 AM: Kayaking on Nam Song River (avoid the midday sun!)
12:00 PM: Lunch at Amigo’s (best fish tacos in Laos?!)
3:00 PM: Blue Lagoon 1 (less crowded, epic rope swings)
7:00 PM: Riverside BBQ with fire dancers at Sakura Bar
Day 2 – Caves & Clifftops
6:30 AM: Sunrise at Nam Xay Viewpoint (bring water!)
10:00 AM: Tham Chang Cave (crystal pools + Buddha statues)
2:00 PM: Tubing (the chill version – just floating with a Beerlao)
8:00 PM: Movie night at Gary’s Irish Bar (yes, they still have Friends marathons)
Day 3 – Countryside Feels
8:00 AM: Hot air balloon ride (worth every penny at $90)
12:00 PM: Organic Farm cooking class (sticky rice workshop = life skills)
4:00 PM: Last-minute swim at Blue Lagoon 2
7:00 PM: Night bus to Luang Prabang (already missing the karsts)
💡 Vang Vieng 2024 Survival Tips
Rent a bike – but avoid the dirt roads after rain (trust me)
Pack dry bags – tubing = guaranteed splashes
Haggle gently – prices are fair now (no more “party tax”)
Try the laap at Naked Espresso (weird location, amazing food)
Vang Vieng’s glow-up is real – it’s now equal parts adventure and zen. Who’s ready to cliff-jump by day and stargaze by night? 🌌
#VangViengVibes #NoRagrets #KarstAddict
P.S. That perfect moment? Eating mango sticky rice in a tractor inner tube while the sunset turned the karsts pink. This is the new Vang Vieng. 🌅

Hello, Vang Vieng, Tham Nam Bo Kaew
#GetDiscountNotDependingOnLuck
This time, I would like to recommend another interesting place, which is Tham Nam Bo Kaew, located on the way to Blue Lagoon, Pha Ngern.
We walked in to ask if it was the way to the cave because on the way there was a house (it feels like the cave and the pond are private because it is behind the house). After asking, we were told that "There is a pond and a cave inside. Just walk along the path." If anyone wants to explore the cave, you can talk to the owner of the house. There are flashlights (headlamps/frog lights) for rent for 10,000 kip/piece because there is no light inside the cave. Because we were stingy, we rented only 1 for 2 people. On the way to Tham Nam Bo Kaew, we will walk through rice fields surrounded by beautiful mountains. The atmosphere is cool and comfortable with a gentle breeze.
We walk through the rice fields, pass a handmade bamboo bridge, and pass through the green nature.
After walking for about 5 minutes from the house, we will reach the pond. The pond here is very clear and clean. There are some small fish. We tried putting our feet in the water, but no fish came to peck at us. They must not be familiar with people. Unlike Erawan Waterfall that I have been to, if you go to the higher level of the waterfall and the water is clean and clear, there will be fish. If you put your feet in the water, the fish will suck your feet to the point that they will stick to your feet when you lift them up.
For those who like adventure and like to explore caves, I recommend coming here. And if you go deep inside, don't forget to tell us about it.

: : : : : : : : : : : : : : :
For those who are not in a hurry, I recommend this attraction for a day trip.
Because it also provides paid boat rides.
There are also large areas of grass in the park for picnics and leisure.

Tham Jang: A magical tourist attraction in Vang Vieng"
Hello everyone! If you are looking for a travel experience that combines adventure and the beauty of nature in Vang Vieng, Tham Jang is a must-visit! This cave is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Vang Vieng because of its beauty and secrets hidden inside the cave. 1. The path into the cave Getting to Tham Jang is not too difficult, but you have to walk for about 10-15 minutes along a natural path that will allow you to feel the fresh air and the peaceful atmosphere of the forest. 2. The beauty inside the cave When you reach the mouth of the cave, you will see the beautiful decoration of stalactites and stalagmites. Inside the cave, there is a large area and light from the bulbs that allow you to clearly see the beauty of the rocks with different shapes. The highlight of Tham Jang is the stalactites and stalagmites that look like various things, such as the shape of animals, plants or even natural art. 3. Adventure If you are an adventurer, exploring Tham Jang will be an exciting and memorable experience. Traveling in the cave may require a little caution because the floor may be slippery and dark, but seeing the beautiful stalactites and stalagmites will make the fatigue disappear. 4. What to prepare Comfortable shoes: You should wear sneakers or durable shoes because the path up to the cave is steep and the floor may be slippery. Flashlight or mobile light: If you don't want to rely on the light from the bulbs in the cave, carrying a flashlight or mobile light will make navigating inside the cave more convenient. Drinking water: Because traveling can cause dehydration, carrying drinking water is important. Additional tips: When to visit: Tham Jang is open all day, but visiting in the morning or afternoon will avoid the heat and provide better light for photography. Getting there: Tham Jang can be accessed from Vang Vieng town by car or motorcycle, depending on your accommodation. Has anyone been to Tham Jang? Share some interesting tips or experiences here! Hopefully this post will help everyone prepare and enjoy their trip to Tham Jang even more. #ThamJang #VangVieng #LaosTravel #Stalactites #Nature #CavesInLaos #Adventure

You can book a tour at your local hotel reception desk and get picked up by van or tuktuk.
The cave is amazing and the walk is about 10-30 minutes. You can choose to take a guide or go with a group. There are also other activities like tubing and zip lining in the vicinity. The cave exit is very easy to access and you walk back to the start point while viewing the local area with rice fields and tropical fauna. A must do in Viang Viane
