Good For Rest Cafe At Phuket
Phuket is popular among many tourists and most of the restaurant, beach and cafes here are filled with many foreigners. If you are looking for a place where only locals go to, I can recommend you a cafe called good for rest, where one of my colleague whose a local here brought us to this cosy little cafe for an afternoon tea.
Good for rest located away from the maintown is located at 189, 2 4027, Pa Klok, Thalang District, Phuket 83110 which is a 30mins drive up north of phuket Town. This place has good reviews to begin with, with 4.6 stars on Google reviews, this js a definitely must go isn't it??
Thus is of course opened by a local, where they too serve mains, but we were too full so we ordered their popular mandarin orange cake and of course a good cuppa of coffee.

A Place You Must Come in Your Life Time!
This is my first time to Phuket, never expect it will give me so much surprises and happiness.
We come here as a family trip, our first two days stay was at Patong Beach, we had an enjoyable day at bangla road, the whole street is so happening that you will feel energetic.
We went to a day tour at Phi Phi island and Khai Island with Yacth Master. These two islands are so beautiful that you must pay a visit!
On 3rd day, we had our dolphin show and elephant trekking! The dolphin show is simply fantastic!
On 4th day which is a Sunday, we move to a hotel in Thalang Road which hold the weekly night market. This night market is also a very happening market and full of food varieties! You can see the whole street is so crowded from the attached photo.
what are you waiting for? Please plan your next trip to Phuket!

Trip to Phuket, Thailand 🇹🇭
It was a short trip to Phuket, Thailand. We began our Phuket adventure at Promthep Cape, one of the most famous viewpoints on the island 🏝️ We explored the walking trails leading to the cape, where the panoramic views of the Andaman Sea and nearby islands were absolutely stunning. Sunset was the best time to visit, as the golden light illuminated the ocean and created a breathtaking scene. I would highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to capture the raw beauty of Phuket’s coastline 😍
📍Rawai, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83100, Thailand
We also explored Old Phuket Town, a vibrant area filled with colorful Sino-Portuguese buildings, quaint cafés, and street art. Walking through the charming streets, we took countless photos 📸 of the beautifully restored architecture and bustling markets. Morning was the ideal time to visit, as the light was soft, and the streets were less crowded. I would recommend this area for anyone who wants to experience Phuket’s cultural and historical charm through their lens📸
📍Thalang Road, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83000, Thailand
We also visited the iconic Big Buddha, a 45-meter-tall statue perched on Nakkerd Hill. The panoramic views of the island from the base of the statue were incredible. We spent time capturing the details of the statue and the surrounding lush landscape. Early morning ☀️ was the best time to visit, as the soft light highlighted the white marble statue and the peaceful atmosphere added to the experience. I would highly recommend this location for its spiritual and photographic significance 😍😍😍
📍Karon, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83100, Thailand
We also went for a boat tour of Phang Nga Bay, famous for its limestone karsts rising dramatically from emerald-green waters. The highlight was James Bond Island (Ko Tapu), which provided incredible photo opportunities. We also explored hidden lagoons and caves, making the experience even more magical. Mid-morning was the best time for us to visit, as the light was perfect for capturing the vibrant colors of the bay. I would recommend this tour for anyone looking to photograph Phuket’s natural wonders 🙌🙌🙌
📍Ao Phang Nga National Park, Phang Nga Province, Thailand
Our itinerary is perfect for capturing Phuket’s diverse beauty, from cultural landmarks to stunning natural landscapes.

Famous night life supper spot in Phuket
If you are travelling to Phuket and want to find some late night supper spots to check out, head to Thalang Road coffee shop for yummy local Thai food! This coffee shop is located at the junction of Thalang Road near the famous Lard Yai night market, and is open until very late.
This is the best place to go after a fun night out in the city and is very near to all the night life venues. The famous dishes here that you must try are the pad Thai noodles and the roasted red pork. The prices are very decent and affordable. It is very popular that we almost could not find a seat so be prepared to wait.
We ordered the beef noodles and the chicken fried rice. Both were delicious!
My overall rating of the experience: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Temple Praying
#songkran2024
The thalang temple praying is located at the Thalang area, is located far from the downtown of the Phuket island. The temple is a must visit in the Phuket day tour. The place will be filled with many tourists and locals coming here to pray for good fortune, good health, and prosperity. It is a very wonderful place to be at during our trip to Phuket island. I would recommend everyone to book a car itself to come here. As the one way taxi and grab fees are not cheap to begin with at the Phuket islands. The temple is near to the big Buddha, hence you can get to the big Buddha within a few minutes of drive from this buddha temple.

thalang and phuket town. vacation November 2022
We explore a unique old town in the heart of the main Thai resort.
Phuket Old Town, or Phuket Town, is often overlooked by tourists who come to the island for the beaches, the sea and the sun. And in vain! This is a great place to get acquainted with the history and culture of the island. You can get around it in one day, and if it gets too hot, you can always hide in one of the many cafes. We tell the history of this city and walk along its most interesting streets!
History and architecture of Phuket Town
Long before becoming the most popular resort in Thailand, Phuket was an important center of trade and industry. It produced rubber and mined tin. Traders from all over Asia and Europe came here to trade them for spices and goods.
Merchants from China played a particularly important role in the development of Phuket's Old Town. They started building shophouses here - two-story houses with housing upstairs and shops downstairs. Such buildings are also common, for example, in Malaysian Penang and Singapore.
#nightmarket
A characteristic feature of shophouses is their small width, the houses seem to be compressed from two sides. The fact is that in the past the size of the property tax depended on the width of the facade. Merchants built narrow, but tall and long houses. The area turned out to be large, and the tax was minimal.
Phuket Town's shophouses feature inventive stucco facades, carved shutters and false columns, and red-tiled roofs. This style is a rarity in Thailand.
