Take a walk in Kagoshima🍃Green green road🌿"Terukoku Shrine" cleanses your soul💚
Terukuni Shrine is one of the most representative shrines in Kagoshima City. It enshrines Shimazu Nariakira, the 28th lord of Satsuma Domain, who was an important figure in promoting Japan's modernization during the late Edo period. The shrine has solemn and elegant architecture, spectacular torii gates, a quiet environment and lush trees, providing a peaceful place for citizens and tourists to find spiritual comfort. The June Lantern Festival held in July every year is even more lively. At that time, lanterns will be lit inside and outside the shrine, creating a dreamy night atmosphere.
