Must-see in Nanchang: 2-day, 1-night city walk detailed guide
We only stayed in Nanchang for 2 days, which was enough
Because the attractions in Nanchang are relatively concentrated
You can get around on foot and by subway 😁😁
Follow my route, and you won't be in a hurry
You can enjoy a leisurely 2-day, 1-night trip. See map in P2
.
Day 1:
Dashi Courtyard ➡ Tengwang Pavilion ➡ Wanshou Palace ➡ Bayi Square ➡ Bayi Memorial Tower ➡ Jiangxi Art Museum ➡ Qiushui Square
Day 2:
3 km of beautiful scenery along the Ganjiang River ➡ Nanchang Star
.
📍Dashi Courtyard🕌
Nanchang's popular snack street 🍡, with authentic Nanchang snacks, such as white sugar cake, fried dough sticks wrapped in glutinous rice cake, crock soup, and mixed noodles, at very cheap prices
✔️White sugar cake: "Old Nanchang White Sugar Cake", I saw many people queuing, the white sugar cake is freshly fried and super delicious
✔️Crock soup, mixed noodles: "Xiao Li Crock Soup", I saw many people eating inside, and the taste is really good
.
📍Tengwang Pavilion🏯
I didn't buy a ticket to go inside, just strolled around the North Garden outside, and took some nice photos outside. If you have time, you can go again at night, Tengwang Pavilion looks even better when lit up 🏮
.
📍Wanshou Palace⛩️
A new cultural and tourism landmark in Nanchang, known as the "No. 1 Street of Ganpo Culture". There are many cultural and creative shops and food shops, and there is a very popular Kun Tea performance at night 🎶
.
📍Bayi Square + Memorial Tower + Jiangxi Art Museum🏫
Remember to exit at Exit 2 or 3 of Bayi Square Station on the subway, and you will see the classic photo spot as soon as you come out. It looks better at night 📸
.
📍Qiushui Square Fountain Time🌊
First show: 19:00-19:15 (15 minutes)
Second show: 20:00-20:15 (15 minutes)
I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel Nanchang this time, and I could clearly see the musical fountain from my room. If you take the subway, get off at Exit 5 of Qiushui Square Station on Line 1, and walk 500 meters
.
📍Ganjiang River🏝️
On the second morning, I walked a few minutes from the hotel to the Ganjiang River, a riverbank that looks very much like a seaside, and there is even a beach! 🌞 It is especially photogenic on sunny days. If you have enough time, you can walk along the riverbank to Nanchang Star, about 3 km
.
📍Nanchang Star🎡
The third largest Ferris wheel in the world, tickets are 50, which is very cost-effective. The best photo spot for Nanchang Star is at Gate 2 of MixC across the street, standing at the top of the handrail ladder, or on the stone pier by the road
.
📝Some tips:
✔️Take the high-speed train to Nanchang or Nanchang West Station, and there is a subway connection when you come out, which is very convenient
✔️You can use Guangzhou Metro app or Alipay to scan 📱 to take the subway
✔️Many places in Nanchang are under construction recently, so try not to take a taxi. There are many shared electric scooters 🛵 on the road
