Vietnam's World Heritage Site: Dinh Tien Hoang Shrine
I went to Dinh Tien Hoang Pagoda, a World Heritage Site in Ninh Binh Province, about a two-hour drive from Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam.
It is located on the site of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu, which gained independence from China over 1,000 years ago, and is said to enshrine the first and second kings.
There was a painting at the entrance that depicted what it looked like at the time.
The grounds of the first and second buildings are similar in design, but the second building is simpler. Only the first building had a guardian beast (?) that looked like a mix of a dragon and a horse.
The grounds have a small pond and are surrounded by rice fields, creating a peaceful atmosphere. There seems to be a bicycle rental shop nearby, and I saw people getting around on bicycles.

I visited the Temple of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang recently and I must say I was in awe of this place. It has huge cultural significance. It has a beautiful architecture and tranquil atmosphere. Coming here gave me a deep insight into Vietnam’s rich culture and I highly advise everyone visiting Hanoi to take a day trip here in the spring. This temple is dedicated to the first king of Vietnam and you must get a tour guide here to get a better background of the place. It is very well maintained and totally worry a visit. Kya

If you stop by Ninh Binh, Vietnam, don't forget to visit the Temple of Emperor Đinh Tiên Hoàng (Emperor Thien Huang Temple), an ancient temple hidden amidst limestone mountains and nature. The atmosphere is peaceful and shady, suitable for those who want to experience the historical atmosphere.
This place was built to honor Emperor Thien Huang, the first emperor of Vietnam. Inside, there is a shrine in traditional Vietnamese architecture, with intricately carved stone pillars. It is beautifully classic. If you like to visit old temples and history, I must say that you must not miss it.

Dinh Tien Hoang Emperor Temple... Ninh Binh.
Dinh Tien Hoang was the first emperor to unify Vietnam and establish the Dinh Dynasty (968-980). This temple is dedicated to his achievements. Passing through the red gate, you enter the temple which showcases traditional Vietnamese architecture and the emperor's altar, reflecting the grandeur of that era. Surrounded by karst peaks and rice fields, the temple gives a sense of the natural fortress that the capital once was. It's a perfect place to appreciate the legacy of the Dinh Dynasty, enjoy the serene landscape, and take contemplative photos.

Majestic Experience at Temple of Dinh King
During the lively Chinese New Year holidays, I went on a culture trip to the Temple of Dinh King. This ancient temple was a fascinating place to visit because it was right in the middle of Vietnam’s historical center. It had a unique mix of history, spirituality, and holiday customs.
One of the best parts was seeing families in the area gather for prayers and gifts. It was a powerful reminder of how important family is during the Chinese New Year or “Tem” in Vietnam.
During Chinese New Year, my trip to the Temple of Dinh King was a cultural experience I will never forget. It’s a place that not only shows off the areas history, but also lets tourists take part in the colorful events of Chinese New Year.

[Hoa Lu Capital] Vietnam 🇻🇳
During the Trang An tour from Hanoi, I went to Hoa Lu, which was included in the itinerary.
It is said to be the first capital of a dynasty in Vietnam.
The Chinese-style culture can be seen in the buildings, which is very interesting.
Another attraction is that it is surrounded by abundant nature and does not feel like a tourist destination.
