Tranquil Tea Haven: The Beautiful Tea Museum
#fallvibes
We had the pleasure of exploring the Beautiful Tea Museum located in Insadong. This unique establishment offers a diverse selection of teas, ranging from exquisite Korean varieties to Chinese classics. Prices vary, starting from 8,000 won and reaching as high as 50 million won for some exceptionally rare teas (see the photo for the 50 million won tea).
Nestled within a traditional hanok house adorned with wooden furnishings, the museum provides a peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal escape from the bustling streets of Insadong. Its spacious setting is also conducive for larger groups, as we comfortably accommodated eight people during our visit.
The tea's quality at this place is outstanding. We had the opportunity to sample a few varieties, including Longjing, Korean black tea, Sejak, and Korean Traditional tea. Notably, the Longjing and Korean black tea stood out with their exceptionally robust and delightful aromas, surpassing what you typically find in off-the-shelf teas. Although it might be a bit on the expensive side, the experience and quality make it a worthwhile investment for tea enthusiasts.
