London, England🇬🇧 My favorite museum in London, Tate Britain
Compared to Tate Modern, Tate Britain is not as well known! As you can see from the names, these two art galleries are operated by the Tate Gallery Network :)
I also happened to find out about it while watching YouTube and went there, and it became my favorite art gallery🩷🩷
Tate Britain exhibits paintings, sculptures, drawings, and other works by representative British artists!
Among them, you can see various works by William Turner, a beloved British artist and the owner of the 20 pound coin, and you can see John Singer Sargent's Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose and John Everett Millais' Ophelia, which are famous works at Tate Britain. These two paintings are really beautiful😍😍 John Waterhouse's Lady of Shalott is also famous, but when I went, there was no work because it was being exhibited somewhere else😢
I really wanted to take a picture here, but I went alone and there was no one to take it for me, so I thought I should ask Asians, and then I saw someone who seemed Korean and I mustered up the courage to ask! I found out that he was a Japanese person who had studied abroad in Korea, so he spoke Korean, and I can speak Japanese, so it was a fun experience to talk in Japanese🤭🤭
I visited on the last day, so I didn't have much time left before my flight, so I couldn't take my time looking around, which was a shame😢😢 In the main hall where the two works above are located, there are also paper and tools that you can experience for yourself, so if you have time, it would be good to try it out:)
I liked Tate Britain more than Tate Modern! If you like conversation, I highly recommend going to Tate Britain👏🏻👏🏻
