The "Potala Palace" hidden in the bustling city—Sha County Taojin Mountain.
Taojin Mountain Scenic Area is located 3 km west of Sha County, Fujian Province, with an altitude of 501 meters and a total area of 6 square kilometers. The scenic spot was first built in the Song Dynasty and took shape in the Yuan and Ming Dynasties, so the cultural landscape here is very rich. Historical figures such as Li Gang, the prime minister of the Song Dynasty, Luo Congyan, a great Confucian scholar, and Deng Maoqi, the leader of the peasant uprising army, all left their footprints here, with more than 30 cliff carvings. The reclining Buddha on Taojin Mountain is known as the "First Reclining Buddha in China." This reclining Buddha is carved from a natural boulder, measuring 38 meters long, 10 meters wide, and 11 meters high, making it the largest stone reclining Buddha in China. Behind the reclining Buddha is a mountain, which is similar in shape to the reclining Buddha, forming a spectacular scene of the mountain and the Buddha as one. There is also a pagoda, which is majestic and spectacular, with a total of nine floors. The true body relic is on the second floor, and each floor can be accessed. Each floor is dedicated to different Buddha statues, and there are carvings of Buddhist classics, which are especially worth seeing!

Jinshan Reclining Buddha: The millennium guardian of Shaxian Jinshan.
Jinshan Scenic Area is located 3 km west of Shaxian City, Sanming City, Fujian Province. It is 501 meters above sea level and covers an area of about 8 square kilometers. It is famous for its rich cultural landscape and natural beauty, including Lianhua Peak, Dongtian Rock, Yanzi Rock, Daling Mountain, Qiyun Temple and other attractions. Jinshan has a long history, which began in the Song Dynasty. The Yuan and Ming Dynasties formed a climax of tourism, leaving many celebrities' footprints and poetry and ink treasures, such as Song Dynasty Prime Minister Li Gang and Dali scholar Luo Congyan.
Among the natural landscapes of Jinshan, the millennium iron tree group, Songguihua tree, plum blossom hexagonal dan and other rare tree species are particularly prominent. Among them, the most famous is the Jinshan Reclining Buddha, which is 38 meters long, 11 meters high and 10 meters wide. It is currently the largest stone carving reclining Buddha in the country and is known as the "First Reclining Buddha in China". Behind the reclining Buddha, there is also a 4-kilometer-long mountain green reclining Buddha. The mountain and the Buddha are integrated into one, forming a unique inlaid landscape.
In addition, Jinshan also has a Buddha relic pagoda. The pagoda is 71.8 meters high and is divided into nine floors. The exterior is made of carved granite, highlighting the imitation Song Dynasty wooden structure style. The outer wall is equipped with 108 large and small stone carvings. The pagoda is equipped with a thousand bronze Buddhas. It is currently the tallest stone carving pagoda in China. Jinshan is not only a treasure trove of natural beauty, but also a holy place for Buddhist culture. It is suitable for worshiping Buddha and hiking. Tourists can feel the strong cultural atmosphere and natural beauty here. The ticket price is 55 yuan/person for adult tickets, 25 yuan/person for children under 1.2 meters, people over 60 years old, and students in school, and 15 yuan/person for locals. The opening hours are 08:00-17:30 in summer and 08:00-17:00 in winter. Jinshan Scenic Area is a business card for Shaxian tourism and an ideal choice for weekend tours.

📝 Tips:
1. Famous tourist attractions in Shaxian include Shuimei Tulou, Xixia Village, Yubang Village, Songbaiyan, Dayoushan, and Taojinshan.
2. Shaxian is small, with major attractions concentrated on both sides of the Shaxi River. The Ningcui Pavilion opposite the suspension bridge, which houses the Shaxian Museum, is highly recommended.
3. The old train station in Shaxian is an open-air museum, perfect for taking photos.
4. Bancuo Alley is the most famous snack street in Shaxian, with several well-known biscuit shops. The biscuits are small, with fillings like preserved vegetable meat, red bean paste, and green onion. They are best eaten fresh out of the oven, crispy on the outside and fragrant on the inside. Eating two or three at a time is enough to fill you up.
5. Shaxian's famous shumai has a shiny, resilient outer skin when steamed, filled with vermicelli and cabbage meat filling. Unlike shumai from other places, it has a texture similar to shrimp dumplings.

City Walk | Casual, stress-free mini-hiking, Taoginshan Greenway~
| Casual, stress-free mini-hiking, Taoginshan Greenway~. Take Exit B at Buxin Station on Line 5, and after getting out of the subway🚇, you can take a Didi, which will cost you just the starting price to get there, or navigate to 'Cuiyin Post Station' on your own—it's quite a distance to walk or cycle. (I took a taxi and forgot to tell the driver it was 'Cuiyin Post Station', I got off at the scribble on picture 8️⃣ and then walked up a bit...
To Cuiyin Post Station parking lot🅿️
Taoginshan Greenway
Leisurely route: from Cuiyin Post Station to Jinshan Pavilion (if you don't want to climb any further, you can just go back the way you came). It's really easy~ and the scenery is beautiful.
If you still have energy, you can try Qiu Shui Mountain Park, I heard the sunset🌄 there is super beautiful
After an easy hike, you can also run to Jin Beer Workshop for an afternoon tea, which is also a check-in spot~

Journey to Shaxian! Gold Rush Mountain
Fujian Sanming self-driving tour------Sixth stop, Shaxian Gold Rush Mountain
Shaxian Gold Rush Mountain, home to the largest reclining Buddha in China, a millennium-old iron tree grove, and the Maitreya Buddha, is a sight worth seeing.
Legend has it that Gold Rush Mountain got its name because people used to pan for gold here, making it famous. Surrounded by green trees and abundant plant life, it's a tranquil place. The reclining Buddha inside is incredibly long and distinctive, and together with the iron tree grove, it creates a particularly beautiful landscape.
Gold Rush Mountain is not very large, but climbing to the peak, you can see a pagoda, which is very splendid and eye-catching on the inside. Photography is not allowed inside, but it's worth a visit.
The reclining Buddha here is the largest stone-carved reclining Buddha in the country, seamlessly integrated with the mountain, making it a remarkable sight, especially when the iron tree grove is in bloom.
