1⃣Books Actually🌟
Away from the hustle and bustle of the noisy city, hidden in the tranquil mountains, there is a very retro bookstore - Books Actually. This place is not just a bookstore, it's more like an art-filled exhibition hall, or a paradise for vintage enthusiasts. Neatly displayed on bookshelves, stairs, and windowsills are old typewriters, yo-yos, retro cameras, and mini vintage pianos, among other vintage toys. In addition, there are many interesting cultural and creative trinkets, and even some nostalgic boutique items, such as burlap eco-friendly bags and Moleskine notebooks.
📍Address: No.86Club Street Singapore 069454
2⃣ Kinokuniya Shoten🌟

The Kinokuniya Bookstore located on Orchard Road claims to be the largest bookstore in Southeast Asia, with a collection of over 500,000 books, even surpassing many libraries! As it is a brand from Japan, friends who are passionate about Japanese literature and manga should not miss it!
📍Address: Ngee Ann City Takashimaya Shopping Centre 391 Orchard Rd -09/10/15 Singapore238872
3⃣ Tanjong Pagar Railway Station🌟
Tanjong Pagar Railway Station
Although Singapore is not large in size, it had ten railway stations at its peak, and now only the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station remains.
For locals, Tanjong Pagar Railway Station is filled with beautiful and nostalgic memories: endless tracks, the rumbling sound, the coming and going of towns, the green scenery flashing by the train windows, women selling souvenirs, children playing and running... Although the station officially ceased operations in 2011 and 'retired', it has been listed as a national monument and often hosts small-scale sports events, community activities, and even historical exhibitions. Many young people also choose to take their wedding photos here! However, it is important to note that the station is not open to the public all year round. Tip: It is only open to the public on public holidays, so remember to check the opening dates before you go.
📍Address: 30 Keppel Rd, Singapore 089059
4⃣ Marina Bay Sands🌟

Broadway is not only in the United States and the United Kingdom, if you decide to travel to Singapore, consider scheduling some time to visit the Marina Bay Sands Theatre, you might encounter a performance you love!

I hope the introduction of these artistic attractions can bring some unique experiences and memories to your trip to Singapore!✨🌍🎨

Enticing Omakase Experience at Mitsu Sushi SG
#2024wish
Spotted an enticing omakase promo under a hundred dollars on Facebook, so I decided to visit Mitsu Sushi with a friend. The ambiance and the freshness of the food exceeded our expectations. Engaged in delightful conversation while relishing the quality dishes, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Mitsu Sushi. I really like all the different choices in the Omakase they have here. The restaurant provides ala-carte options too for those who don’t prefer Omakase.

Hidden High Tea Spot 🍵
Visited this hidden high tea cafe spot with my friend! The place is super pretty and aesthetic! The desserts are supper yummy too!
They have lovely looking cakes with amazing textures.
I love how the flavours come together and it is super unique! They do change up their menu and in line with the festive season, they have two alcoholic cakes ($13.50+ each):
1. Champagne Strawberry Mousse Cake with Champagne
2. Fromage Blanc Cherry Pistachio Mousse Cake with Whisky
What I ordered:
A set with 2 cakes, 2 tea pairings & 3 bites for 2pax for $55 or you can also order ala carte!

Free Korean side dishes
Along the famous stretch of Tanjong Pagar’s food street, you will find a lesser known Korean shop called Todamgol. I highly recommend eating here because their Korean food is really authentic and so delicious! It was still pretty crowded when we arrived but we got a seat pretty quickly.
But the best part was the free-flow Korean side dishes! I felt like I could just eat those and be happy. We also bought the army stew to share, the portion size was amazing too. Will be back again!
My overall rating of the experience: 5 out of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Gokuko bakery
#mysgmemories
Can la! Come and try this Japanese bakery Gokuko and you can follow their recommended items to buy. They have listed their top bread to try and it is honest ranking. It is a small bakery but they have many options. You might end up buying everything. This bakery is just right above the MRT exit. You can then take the escalator up and make a right turn and see it immediately. Cashless payment is acceptable too. It is always interesting to try new things. Do visit Gokuko bakery the next time you are here.

Guoco flea market
#mysgmemories
Can la! Enjoy flea market at the atrium area filled with handicrafts. There is also a piano area for anyone who is interested and you get free performances too. The entire Guoco tower is spacious and you can have access to public transport easily. There are residences and offices within the building too. You also can make use of the MRT walkway and get to the other side of Tanjong Pagar too. This place is too convenient and you also can spot many gym-goers too. At the open space area on ground floor, there are always organised sports activities and most are for free too. Just check out on the website.

Can la! Come over to Guoco tower for dining options. You can get here just by exiting MRT at Tanjong Pagar. A large area filled with various food options and plenty of sitting area for you to enjoy your takeaway. Many students will be here too to enjoy the space for their revision. It is also free and everything is first come first served. You can have food options from different price points. You can choose to dine in or buy from takeaway koisk and eat as your chosen spot. A great place to be whereby you are not restricted to time.

New Coffee place in a neighbourhood
#mysgmemories
Can lah! Let’s go makan!
There are too many coffee options in Tanjong Pagar and you can choose from traditional coffeeshop at hawker center to air conditioned coffee shops too. In this area, there are several hawker centers nearby such as Tanjong Pagar, Amoy street and Lau Pa Sat. Today I came across this incredible offer price which was 99 cents for your first drink. Anyone with a local Singapore number is able to sign up and order their first drink for 99 cents. It is easy and there are plenty of seats around here to enjoy a cup of coffee. You can even bring it outdoor and enjoy the breeze too.

Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre 新加坡华族文化中心
Address: 1 Straits Blvd, Singapore 018906
Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, located around 10 minutes walk from Tanking Pagar mrt, is a cultural centre with exhibitions and events to promote Chinese culture.
One of the exhibitions is the Singapo人, which showcases and lets you discover more on Singaporean Chinese and how each of us associates ourselves (for Singaporean Chinese). An interesting and interactive exhibit which I felt I learned a lot more at the end of the day. It's free entry so anyone can go over to try out and experience it.

Decided to spend our christmas eve dinner here after seeing rave reviews. And we werent disappointed!
Ordered the following
1) Marcy's crab toast. The crab serving is big on a bite size piece of brioche. The trick is to eat the crab with the brioche. Otherwise the crab alone will seem like it wasnt seasoned well
2) Fatty Tuna Crudo. Looooove this!
3) Octopus rigatoni: insisted on getting this even though my partner thought it was 'just pasta'. He ended up liking it more than I did!
Service was excellent! Ambience is good. Tables are a tad too close for private conversations though.
Would definitely return for more!

The Tipsy Tavern 🦜
Address - 32 Maxwell Rd, #01-08 Maxwell Chambers, Singapore 069115
Ambiance/Facilities - Very vibey bar located in CBD area, and they offer a lot of drink options too 🍺
Highlights - The Butadon 🐖🍚was cooked to perfection, the pork was juicy and tender, and the sauce was savory and flavorful. The rice was fluffy and the vegetables were cooked to the perfect texture. I was impressed with the quality of the ingredients used and the careful preparation that went into the dish.
Overall, I would highly recommend this Butadon for anyone looking for a delicious meal that is both filling and flavorful. The restaurant also provides a variety of sides to accompany the dish, making it an excellent option for a complete meal.
Avg. Price per Person - $30
Rating - 🌟🌟🌟🌟 4.5/5 Delicious food! However did not get to order the original Wagyu Don we wanted to try, so it was a small pity

We were hungry on a friday afternoon hence dropped by. Decided against bbq as we just wanted something quick. Settled for ramyeon and cold noodles. The banchan was very nice! Especially potato salad and japchae. They also have squid sashimi which was, interesting.
Ramyeon was very fragrant, and hard to go wrong. Enjoyed it. Cold noodles was pretty average though. Would be back to try their bbq next time!

This has to be one of the hotel rooms that gives Manhattan landscape vibes, located in the heart of Singapore, you get surround by all the amazing architecture that makes up the stunning Singapore skyline as well as the Raffles Place, Tanjong Pagar and if you are observant enough, you can look as far out into Orchard. World's First Bolo Bun Concept Store in 🇸🇬
The HK-inspired menu is quite limited as they pride themselves in being the ‘World's First Bolo Bun Concept Store’. We waited around 10 minutes before the buzzer rang for us to self-collect the foods and drinks near the cashier.
The three-storey cafe in Tanjong Pagar oozes contemporary style and I would recommend going up to the 2/F for a more comfortable environment. The 1/F seating areas lack air con while the 3/F attic is cosy yet a little too dim for your insta photoshoot
𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫
I don’t usually dig bolo buns (btw bolo means ‘pineapple’ in Canto, but just refers to the resemblance instead of actually containing any fruit), but this has got to be hands down THE BEST ever compared to the ones I’ve had in HK
The warm bun itself was a textural delight with the outer crust being ultra crispy while the inner was soft and pillowy. The huge cold slab of butter in the middle was such an indulgence, but really elevated the entire taste
𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨
The Singaporean samosa twist was actually way better than I expected, but sadly it was a little too spicy for me to eat more than two bites. The aromatic curry scent was soooo tempting though
𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐤 𝐓𝐞𝐚
They managed to make this drink very authentic and silky that I kind of felt that I was in HK for a second. However, I have to admit that HK-style milk tea is an acquired taste for me and I don’t normally prefer the bitter aftertaste

Yummy Japanese & Korean Food
Wouldn't it be nice to enjoy both Japanese food and Korean street food, all at the same place without the hassle of travelling here and there? Well, at tanjong pagar, you will be able to find both kinds of food.
If you are a big fan of ramen, you should try the ramen at Torasho ramen & charcoal bar. They serve both dry and soup ramens and you can pretty interesting ones there as well. Their soup broth is rich and flavourful, just the way I like. I ordered their lobster ramen and truffle tonkatsu ramen and I give it a 5 stars rating.
Once you are done with ramen, head over to Koryo Jung korean street food stall at International plaza. They sell corn dogs, tteokbokki and kimbaps etc. If you can't fly to Korea, you may want to visit this shop. The street food is good! #tripblazers #mytripvlog #urbanexplorer #foodie #awesomepic

Sin Manbok
#meetsingapore
Korean BBQ is one of the specialties for Korean food. My wife loves Korean BBQ! As it was another of our wedding anniversary, I decided to bring her to Sin Manbok to eat Korean BBQ to celebrate this special occasion.
When we reached there, it was fully packed. Therefore, we had to wait awhile before we an get our seats. We ordered a set meal of bbq pork and chicken and spicy soup. When the food arrived and we started to bbq, the smell was so nice. The staff there were also very helpful in helping us to bbq the meat. All the food we ordered were so yummy!

Hwang Sil Jiajang Jjampong Speciality Korean
Address - 38 Maxwell Rd, #foodie were flavourful. The Jjampong noodle was brim-filled with seafood but atad more wok-hei for the soup broth would certainly have brought the overall taste a level higher. Jjajīang noodle was slurpy and gd to have nothing much to comment nor complain abt since nt much ingredients for this noodle. Overall liked the service and overall foodfare and reasonably priced for korean noodle place in sg. Total paid $60 for 2 pax that will probably feed 3 so will recommend if one is in the area and craves korean Chinese food.#foodiesg

Cafe serving fusion Korean dishes
There are alot of food options located in tanjong pagar where people normally get their Korean bbq fix or Japanese ramen fix along the row of shop houses along tanjong pagar Road.
Why not go for something different and instead go for a cafe so that your shirt won't smell like bbq or soup broth. There is a cost cafe called @51tras which of course located at 51 tras Street and this is a cafe featuring the famous Ben wong chee cheong fun, tigerlily patisserie and even laksa quiche. A fusion of some Singaporean food, Korean food and even French too!
This cafe has a Korean style rustic aesthetic where it has simple yet clean decor, if food is too much for you, why not go for their coffee or matcha latter, these are also one of the stars here too!

Aesthetic cafe with co working space 👩🏽💻
📍Huggs Collective — 30 Maxwell Rd, #01-03, Singapore 069114
Located in tanjong pagar, we came across this space we were surprised to see it was a co working space & a cafe! The aesthetic of this place was gorgeous very bright & minimalistic.
There was quite a lot of seating from bar tops to low table s they even had a room that was like a huge stair seating, quite casual and chill but definitely more towards chatting with ur friends instead of getting work done cause the table is very low.
They offer memberships where you can get discounts on your visits, and they even have a separate private room for the members to sit & work!

Dishes in accordance to pictures:
Amber jack
sashimi style with cherry tomatoes and crispy greens. Sashimi was served fresh. Cuts were of a good size. Sauce was a mixture of salty and sour at the perfect amount, making it SUPER savoury!
Mussels
Served fresh. For those who don’t like the tatse of the sea, this doesn’t have that!! This was topped with kimchi (fermented cabbage) and spring onions. This is another savoury meal but with a slight sweetness to the dish.
Beef and octopus Ragotini
Pasta was al Dante and topped with amazing sauce. The flavour of beef was strong! as though the beef was left simmering in the sauce for hours. AMAZING!
Octopus
Served with boiled potatoes, greens and octopus legs seared to perfection with a good balance of a crispy outside and soft inside.
Desserts was icecream to celebrate my birthday! yay!
Food here was really good and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Service was also good with friendly Waiters and Waitresses that have good knowledge and recommendations regarding the food (for those going there first time)
Enjoy!! 100% recommended!!

One Of The Best Korean Food That's Not BBQ
Tanjong Pagar is popular among the many authentic restaurants that's being run by Korean people, most stalls here are BBQ and if you are looking for something that's NON - bbq you should head to O.bba Jiang Korean Restaurant which is very famous for their jiajiang mian located at 77 Tg Pagar Rd, Singapore 088498.
Their black soybean noodles is something you should definitely go for, I bet you will be begging for more! For meat dishes you can also opt for the Sweet & Sour pork or the Deep Fried Chicken in hot sauce and if you think you are a big rater you can order the kimchi or chives Korean pancake which is also really good!
This place is great especially when you go with friends or families as the portions here are quite generous too!

Taco Tuesdays and Happy Hour
As I’m still quite new to the local Singaporean food scene, @papistacossg was recommended by a friend’s friend 😘
Found out online that they just opened a new branch in Tanjong Pagar this May (btw TP is now my new fave neighbourhood with cute cafes and dessert places, plus A LOT of Korean BBQ restaurants for some reason😍)
Anyways, we came coincidentally for Taco Tuesday (3 tacos for the price of 2) and even managed to catch the last few minutes of happy hour (before 7pm) YAY cuz drinking in SG is damn expensive y’all 🥂
A word of advice - it’s probably best to make a reservation online as we had to sit outside (luckily it wasn’t too hot) 🥴
[𝐀𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐚𝐜𝐨]
We loved the vibrant taste of the juicy pineapple chunks, which added some zing to the intense flavours of the Mexican sauces and marinated pork 🍍 Also bonus points for how this wasn’t spicy at all!
[𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐟 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚]
Compared to the tacos, I preferred this more as it had a milder seasoning of verde salsa, plus the grilled beef was ultra tender 🫰🏻
