Tangqi Ancient Town is located in Yuhang and is the starting point of the Hangzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. The canal runs through the ancient town, with quaint old houses on both sides and an ancient bridge connecting the river. Tangqi's loquats and traditional cakes are very famous. Every year in late May when the loquats turn yellow, it is always lively here for a while, and many Hangzhou people come here to eat loquats. Ancient Town Attractions The ancient town is an open block. It is Complimentary to stroll around the old street, and only a few venues charge fees. However, the free Guangji Bridge, Qianlong Imperial Monument, Guo Pu Well, and Canal Barn Museum are the essence of the ancient town. They are all genuine monuments, and the museum is also built in a very stylish way. From this, you can feel the history of Tangqi as a key point of water transportation. Shuibei Street and Shuinan Street on both sides of the canal are the main tourist areas of the ancient town. There are many attractions on Shuibei Street. Xiyao House, Tangqi Shuibei Grain Station, Christian Church and the famous Qianlong Imperial Monument are all on the streets along the river. From a distance, it looks majestic and beautiful. It is a must-see attraction for everyone who comes to Tangqi. The photos taken here can also be called "Tangqi standard photos". The delicious food of the ancient town Shuinan Street opposite Guangji Bridge and its Souvenir blocks are concentrated with many shops selling cakes and snacks. In addition to the original traditional cakes, there are also some cafes and Hangzhou cuisine restaurants. It is very nice to eat and walk around. The local cakes are famous for Fagen Cake Shop, Zhu Yitang's mung bean cakes, Lixia cakes, etc. Until now, many old Hangzhou people have come to Tangqi to buy them. In the loquat season, fruit farmers selling loquats can be seen everywhere in the vegetable market by the bridge and even on the roadside. The expensive white sand loquat is about 12 yuan per catty, which is a good choice for Complimentary relatives and friends. There are some old houses in San Tiaoban Lane on the Shihe Historical Block near Shuinan Street, which are also worth visiting. Transportation Tips: Tangqi has very convenient transportation. Starting from Hangzhou, in addition to taking the bus, a more interesting way to go is to take a water bus tour, which takes about 7 hours. During the loquat festival, you can also pay attention to the Complimentary bus from Huanglong Tourism Distribution Area to Tangqi.
