Khao Tang Kuan, Songkhla Province
⛰️It is a high hill, about 2,000 feet above sea level. From the top of the mountain, you can see the view of Songkhla city all around. On the top of the mountain is the Phra That Chedi, a pair of Songkhla cities, built during the Nakhon Si Thammarat Kingdom. It is an art form from the Dvaravati period.
🙏The chedi is made of brick and mortar in the shape of a bell. It is assumed to be an ancient chedi that has been around for a long time, but there is no clear evidence of its origin. The Chedi Luang is a pair of chedis of Songkhla city, so it has been renovated and repaired all the time.

Khao Tang Kuan is an important tourist attraction in Mueang District, Songkhla Province. It is a high hill about 2,000 feet above sea level. From the top of Khao Tang Kuan, you can see the view of Songkhla City all around. On the top of Khao Tang Kuan is the place where the city's sacred pagoda, built during the Nakhon Si Thammarat Kingdom, is enshrined. It is in the Dvaravati style (on the top of the hill about 2,000 feet above sea level). King Mongkut (Rama IV) granted the government money to be used as a fund for renovation and restoration. In December 1996, King Rama IX granted the relics of the Lord Buddha to be enshrined in the pagoda. Every year in October, there is a ceremony to wrap the pagoda in cloth and the Songkhla tradition of Tak Bat Thevo and the procession of the Buddha image.

🇹🇭Songkhla Old Street Check-in Attraction-Tangkuan Hill
#2月好去地方2025
Songkhla is a small coastal town in southern Thailand. It is not big and suitable for a day trip.
Tangkuan Hill is a high observation deck on Songkhla Old Street. You can walk up the stairs (free) or buy a ticket and take the elevator to the observation deck (60 baht). This time I chose to take the elevator. The elevator has air conditioning and is very cool. After arriving at the observation deck, you can see Salami Beach to the right, and the old streets of Songkhla can be seen on the left. There is also a pagoda in the middle. Many Thais also come here to pray. If you come, try to avoid coming at noon as the sun is very hot.
There are many monkeys on the observation deck, so be careful not to bring food, as it may be snatched away by the monkeys. What is commendable is that there is a barrier-free passage from the entrance to the observation deck, making it a scenic spot suitable for the whole family.

Must visit in Songkhla for the panoramic views! When we went, the lift station opened at 9am NOT 830am as listed. Tickets are return and though prices have increased it's still affordable. The lift tracks are covered so there's no view but the lift is air conditioned, which is a godsend in the killer heat (bring umbrellas).
To find the royal pavilion, to the right side after the bell tower there's a downhill stairway flanked by gold dragons, walk down it to reach.

Travel to Songkhla on a holiday
On a holiday, take the family to relax at Khao Tang Kuan. See the sea view, cool breeze even though it's hot. The atmosphere is very good. Then go to worship Buddha, make merit, walk around the church. Let me tell you that this place is beautiful, complete in one place. There are both beautiful views, places to make merit, and most importantly, all of the above are free of charge, except for making merit and buying ice cream to eat 555. Anyone who is nearby and doesn't know where to go, try to come and see. Guaranteed not to be disappointed #visitHatYai

There are a lot of foreign tourists here. It is different from other places in Songkhla. You can walk here or take the tram. If it is hot, it is better to take the tram. On top, there is a statue of Luang Pu Thuat for us to walk and pay homage. There is a pagoda in the middle of the mountain.
There is also a viewpoint in front of Luang Pu Thuat and another side. It is made to see the view of Songkhla.
If you drive, you have to park on the side of the road. There is no parking lot.

Let's go up Khao Tang Kuan by foot. Although there is an elevator here, it was broken, so we got to exercise, enjoy the view, run away from the monkeys, and see the Red Wihan, which used to be the residence of King Rama V.
The Red Wihan is a Western-style building painted in brick red with white edges to make it stand out.

A strikingly beautiful building, all red, with each pillar having a walkway connecting them, making for a great photo opportunity.
There is a Naga staircase on the Khao Noi side. If you come the other way, you will have to take a tram up, but there is a fee, but it is perfect for those who don't want to get tired walking.
For those who want to conquer it by themselves, you can park your car on the side of the road and walk up the stairs. Watch the monkeys on the way.
The view is very beautiful, with the sea, green mountains, and cool breeze.

Khao Noi, Mueang District, Songkhla Province, another tourist attraction with nature. On both sides of the road to Khao Noi, there are monkeys to welcome you. But be careful, the receptionists might snatch your food.
You can drive up or if you want to test your leg strength, you can walk up.
Once you get up to Khao Noi, it's very comfortable. We can see the sea view of Songkhla. There is a green garden for us to relax and unwind.

It is considered a popular tourist attraction in Songkhla that cannot be missed in any way. Traveling is very convenient. There is an elevator to the top of the hill with a view of the Songkhla sea, Koh Nu Koh Maew, and a panoramic view of Songkhla city that can be seen as far as the eye can see. Pay homage to the sacred object of Songkhla city, the Phra That Luang Pu Thuat pagoda, and watch the mischief of the little monkeys. If there are fruits, bananas, or a few snacks to share, that would be good.

Khao Tang
Khao Tang Kuan is an important tourist attraction in Mueang District, Songkhla Province. It is a high hill. From the top of the mountain, you can see the view of Songkhla all around.
If you have the chance to climb the stairs to Khao Tang Kuan to Phra Wihan Daeng, the view is magnificent and there are millions of stars. 🌟 🌟 However, since we arrived at night, we could not go up any further.
🛕🛕The Phra Wihan Daeng Shrine is located between the top of the Tang Kuan Mountain. Walk down a little from the top of the mountain and you will find a red brick shrine. It is an area where you can see another beautiful view of Songkhla. The Phra Wihan Daeng Shrine is built in the same size and in the same location. Therefore, there is a walkway that allows you to see from the front all the way to the back. If you look from one side, you will see the other side. The front and back passages are the way to the Naga stairs up to the top of the Tang Kuan Mountain and the Phra Chedi Luang. The front passage is the way down to the foot of the mountain via the stairs.
Khao Tang Kuan is the center of Songkhla. Whenever you visit Songkhla, don't forget to visit Khao Tang Kuan. 😊😊

The most beautiful viewpoint in Songkhla Province, Tang Kuan Mountain
Khao Tang Kuan, the most beautiful 360-degree viewpoint in Songkhla. If anyone passes this way, I recommend going up to the viewpoint. There are Naga stairs, but be careful of the monkeys. But if anyone is afraid of monkeys, there is an elevator for use. It costs about 30 baht per person. At the top, there is a place to pay homage to the sacred objects. The view from the top is very beautiful. You can see both the sea and #Khao Tang Kuan, Songkhla. The wind is cool. The atmosphere is very good. But it is a little tiring to walk up the stairs. The journey is very easy. Take a raft from the Singhanakhon pier. Or if coming from the city, drive along the Songkhla lotus pond. #Khao Tang Kuan #Khao Tang Kuan monkeys

Tang Kuan Mountain, Songkhla
Located in the center of Songkhla city, from the viewpoint on the top of the hill, you can see Songkhla city in 360 degrees, both the Gulf of Thailand and Songkhla Lake. There is an elevator to the top of the hill, on the road between Khao Tang Kuan and Khao Noi. Adults 30 baht, children 20 baht. It takes about 5 minutes to reach the top of the hill. Open Monday-Friday from 10:00-19:00 or walk up the Naga stairs, 145 steps. On top, there are love padlocks like in Korea. There are a lot of monkeys on the top of the hill, they are quite naughty.
- It is the place where important ancient sites are enshrined, namely Phra Chedi Luang (Dvaravati art), Sala Phra Wihan Daeng and the lighthouse.
