The resort is located on a stunning beach with white sand as fine as flour and blue waters as clear as gemstones, glistening in the sunlight. 🏨The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the welcome drink was sweet and refreshing. The resort's architecture is full of Malaysian style, with wooden structures and tropical plants, making me feel like I had entered a paradise. 🛏The room was cozy and comfortable, and when I opened the window, the sea breeze filled the room. The bed was soft and the bedding was clean and skin-friendly, and I fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night. The room was well-equipped, with smart devices that were easy to use, and the balcony offered a great view of the scenery. 🍽The food was a highlight of the resort. Breakfast was varied, with Malaysian specialties like nasi lemak, crispy fried fish, and sweet and spicy sauces that awakened my taste buds. There were also fresh tropical fruits like mango, pineapple, and dragon fruit, each bite full of sunshine. The beachside restaurant offered a variety of seafood dishes, such as grilled shrimp and steamed grouper, with fresh ingredients and perfect cooking methods, paired with local teh tarik, a feast for the taste buds. 🏊‍♀️The resort had a variety of entertainment facilities, including an infinity pool that seamlessly connected to the sea, making me feel like I was swimming in the ocean. There were also many water sports, such as kayaking and surfing, to enjoy the thrill and fun of the sea. In addition, there was a spa center with professional therapists who helped me relax after my journey. 🌟My days at Damai Beach Resort were leisurely and pleasant. I walked on the beach, watched the sunrise and sunset, explored the surrounding rainforest, and experienced the local culture. The resort was not just a place to stay, but a haven for my soul. Kiyau Campsite offers a range of accommodation options, including chalets, tents, and domes, providing flexibility for different camping styles. Both Kampung Sting and the scenic Bengoh Dam are located along the same route, making it convenient for visitors who want to explore both areas. Most visitors opt for a 2-day, 1-night stay to fully experience the stunning landscape. We arrived at the parking lot at the base of village , where we waited for the 4 wheel drive transfer. For those unfamiliar with the route, taking a transfer is recommended, as the narrow mountain roads are steep and winding, which can be challenging for regular vehicles.

While Kuching may be familiar to Malaysians, it is relatively unknown in mainland China. I found very few online discussions about Kuching, and almost no one from mainland China visits. During my five-day stay, I noticed that most tourists were from Europe, America, and Taiwan, with very few from mainland China. However, I highly recommend this city for two reasons: the people are warm and friendly, and there is an abundance of delicious food at very affordable prices, likely among the lowest in Malaysia.

Rising 810 meters above sea level, the trail offers a rewarding experience, with lush rainforest, diverse wildlife, and stunning views of the South China Sea. The hike starts with a moderate incline but quickly turns steep, requiring ropes and ladders to navigate rocky terrain. I almost felt half-dead tackling the tough sections, but the hidden waterfalls and tropical birds along the way kept me going. Reaching the summit, with its breathtaking panoramic views, brought an overwhelming sense of satisfaction, making every step worth it.

The butter adds a savory richness to the bittersweet Nanyang coffee, creating a smooth and satisfying taste. Their Hainan noodles are authentically prepared, as the owners carry on the Hainanese tradition. My personal favorite is the Hainan toast, paired perfectly with their homemade gula Malacca kaya. For a local twist, you can also enjoy Sarawak signature dishes like laksa Sarawak and kolomee, all served in this cozy, heritage-inspired setting.

#travellerswonderland Did a river cruise along Kampung Sibu Laut and almost near to Damai Beach. Really worth it, since the entrance was only RM10/pax. The life jackets provided were clean, and our guide was so helpful in sharing information of the checkpoints that we visited. The ride was about almost 1 hour(+-). After that, we had lunch at Telaga Air, which was just located in front of the jetty.

Anyone visiting Kuching must come here at night to see the beauty of this place when it is all lit up with lights. On weekends, there is the musical fountain taking place 2-3 times nightly, hence you see people sitting around and waiting for the show to start. It can also get crowded on weekends, and there is no charge to walk on the bridge.

They are going to renovate this swimming pool and will reopen in a few months time. During my stay, it was still open and this swimming pool is lovely especially during sunset time. They also have a large jacuzzi accessible by stairs but is not heated. The views are lovely and you can see beyond the waterfront area in Kuching. Avoid coming here in the day because it is really hot and sunny. Simply walk across the Darul Hana Bridge to Pangkalan Sapi, a great spot where there aren’t many people, allowing you to take beautiful photos without the crowds. From there, you can stroll to the nearby Orchid Garden, passing by the main entrance of the DUN, another excellent location for photography. The car park at the Orchid Garden also provides a stunning backdrop of the DUN, ideal for portrait shots. This entire route is free, and we usually go before 9 AM to avoid the scorching sun.

It's essential to wear water-resistant, non-slip shoes as your feet will be wet throughout the trek. We hired a local tour guide from Kampung Sungai Bako to embark on an exciting 6-kilometer journey.The trek took about 2 to 3 hours, depending on our pace. Along the way, our guide explained why the river appeared reddish—the Pelawan trees, with their red bark, occasionally shed into the river, coloring the water. Despite its muddy look, the water was surprisingly clean, and we rewarded ourselves with a refreshing dip in the waterfall's cascade. Our guide, a local Malay who spoke fluent Chinese and Hakka, made the journey even more engaging by sharing fascinating stories of the area's natural wonders. It was an adventure filled with nature, culture, and a peaceful retreat at the waterfall.

What stood out the most was the breakfast buffet, especially the kolomee and Sarawak laksa stations where each bowl is freshly prepared.
