I left by boat from Ishigaki Island in the morning, explored the island on a rental bicycle, went swimming in the sea, ate Okinawa soba, and returned by boat to Ishigaki Island in the evening. It's not a big island, so you can get around the island on a rental bicycle, but I think it's a good idea to bring water with you to protect yourself from the heat. The atmosphere of this island, which is truly Taketomi Island, was wonderful, and the sea was clear and beautiful.

We booked a tour with An-ei Kanko. The tour includes hotel pick-up, round-trip bus tickets within the island, and round-trip ferry tickets to Taketomi Island for 2160 yen (online reservation). It takes about 10 minutes by high-speed ferry from Ishigaki Port to Taketomi Island. We took a bus to Kaiji Beach. From Kaiji Beach, we walked to Kondoi Beach. Kondoi Beach has the most beautiful sea ✨✨ There are also toilets and water facilities available. Be careful when leaving your belongings as crows might target your food. We walked to the central part of the island where the villages are clustered. We enjoyed island banana juice and Okinawan-style zenzai at a cafe.

Taketomi Island is my favorite of all the remote islands in Japan. This is heaven! ? The beach and sea are so beautiful that you'll think it's heaven, and the gravel roads are covered with flowers. The nature is beautiful. I love to just go for a walk, lie on the beach, laze around, and do nothing. I definitely recommend staying overnight on this island, rather than just going for a day trip! The time after the day trippers leave (after the evening) and before they arrive (early morning) is unbearably beautiful. At night, the starry sky is magnificent, and the breathing of creatures that are active at night. In the morning, the sea is incredibly beautiful with few people.
