| Skip the bustling Altay, Southern Xinjiang has snow-capped mountains and grasslands. 🌈 The scenery in Southern Xinjiang is incredibly diverse, featuring not only canyons and deserts but also grasslands that rival those in Yili, and the SS9 stage of the Tour of Tianshan Rally. This stage is located at the foot of the Tianshan Mountains, with a changing landscape, passing through the cloud-draped grasslands of Ta Village, unexpectedly finding such beautiful grasslands in Southern Xinjiang. Ta Village is situated at the foot of Tomur Peak, the highest peak of the Tianshan Mountains, and is known as the 'Nalati of Southern Xinjiang' and a 'natural oxygen bar'. The continuous snow-capped mountains are complemented by green grasslands, with snow mountains overlooking the grasslands, blue skies accompanied by white clouds, immersing one in intoxication, making it the most romantic place I've encountered in Aksu. If you have time, consider staying here for a night. The inn at the foot of the mountain is built against the hill, with starry sky glass rooms where you can see the stars just by looking up. If you want to see the first peak of the Tianshan Mountains, besides taking a plane to fly over the southern and northern Xinjiang, another way is to come to Tacun, known as the first village of southern Xinjiang. Tacun's full name is Taghlaq Village, which is only an hour's drive from Aksu city center. The entire village is located at the foot of Tomur Peak, the main peak of the Tianshan Mountains, and it is one of the rare villages where you can step outside to appreciate the highest peak of the Tianshan Mountains. Tomur Peak has an altitude of 7443 meters, near the border between China and Kyrgyzstan, and the scenery is very beautiful, making it an important tourist highlight of Tacun. Tacun is not far from the Wensu Grand Canyon. If you are short on time, you can spend half a day at each of these two places and return to Aksu city center in the evening. Of course, if you have enough time, it is best to stay in Tacun for one night. The village has characteristic wooden house homestays, where you can see the valley scenery from the window and have the snow-capped mountains and grasslands in full view as soon as you step outside. Watching the sunset glow on the golden mountain in the evening is definitely an unforgettable and beautiful experience.
