The SBB InterCity train ride itself was smooth, scenic, and super comfortable. As we left Zurich, the landscape quickly shifted from city buzz to peaceful countryside — rolling green hills, pristine lakes, and postcard villages all along the way. I made stops in Lucerne, Lausanne, and the stunning Lavaux region, where I stayed in Grandvaux for a few days (highly recommended for vineyard views and peaceful walks). The final leg into Geneva offered sweeping views over Lake Geneva, with the Alps rising in the background — an unforgettable arrival. Geneva itself was lively and elegant, with lakeside cafés, cultural spots, and a perfect end to a slow-travel adventure. If you’re visiting Switzerland in summer, skip the car and take the train — it’s efficient, eco-friendly, and lets you really see the country. The Zurich–Geneva route is a perfect way to do it. #MarchGoodPlaces2025 In Terminal E, further away but impeccable, the lounge was named the "World's Best First Class Lounge" by Skytrax in 2022. The use of light colours and natural materials creates a pleasant and warm atmosphere. The interior is refined, with lots of light wood and leather seating. It has comfortable sofas for reading and relaxing. There is also a hotel-style day room where you can take a nap and then wake up to enjoy the magnificent view of the airport from the terrace. It is an ideal place to relax. Impressive wine selection including local wine from Landolt Weine in Zurich, other local schnapps, local beer, really special. The same goes for food. The menu is excellent, offering options to suit all tastes and preferences, including vegetarian options. We tried several appetizers and entrees and were very pleased with the quality, taste and presentation. What’s even more exaggerated is that even cheese stew can be eaten. The staff provide excellent service and ensure you have everything you need for comfortable seating, lodging and eating.

#100waysoftravel We had a comfortable flight with Emirates from Zurich (ZRH) to Kuala Lumpur (KUL), with a stopover in Dubai (DXB). The segment from Zurich to Dubai took about 6 hours, followed by a 4-hour layover before the next leg. The flight from Dubai to Kuala Lumpur also lasted around 6 hours. From boarding to arrival, the cabin crew was attentive and courteous, ensuring our needs were met. The extensive in-flight entertainment system provided a wide range of movies, TV shows, and music, which made the trip enjoyable. I particularly appreciated the entertainment, as I was able to watch my favorite movies throughout the flight.

Whether you are an aviation enthusiast or not, it is a wonderful experience watching the take-offs and landings of aircrafts up close. There are two observation decks in Zurich Airport. Observation Deck B, located in the public area of Zurich Airport, is open to public at a small entrance fee. Observation Deck E, located on top of Dock E in the passenger zone, is open for passengers with a boarding pass. Public visitors can also take a shuttle bus to observation deck E from deck A. We had a chance to relax in the fresh air on Observation Deck E before boarding our flight in Zurich airport. The deck offers a spectacular view of the airport activities as it is situated at the centre of the three runways. Switzerland is a must go destination. My family and I really enjoyed our trip there. The scenery is fascinating during winter. Food is equally nice. The mountain trip is unforgettable breathtaking. It get you to feel closer to nature. People there are so friendly and helpful. After spending two and a half weeks there still feel like not enough. That’s why we are planning to go back there again.

The lounge itself was well maintained with nice decor , lot of natural light and a solid food and drink selection . During my visit it was breakfast time and they have fresh omelette station . I booked premium economy for the first time! I flew with Austrian Airlines on the way there. I flew with Swissair on the way back. No assigned seats. On Austrian Airlines, I was in the middle seat, which made it difficult to get to the bathroom, but it was still reasonably comfortable. It was more spacious than economy... but... the cabin attendant wasn't exactly friendly... I was shocked by her attitude. 😨 I've flown economy on Swissair many times, so I had high expectations and only happened to be in the front row, which offered particularly comfortable legroom! I asked the cabin attendant about things like how to use the monitor, but the blonde was very helpful, while the Chinese one was all talk...there was a clear difference. 😓 I was woken up four hours after departure while I was sleeping and was told that there was a seat in economy with a broken monitor and that someone would be sitting next to me. It was a shame, as I had been using the space next to me...it doesn't always work out that way... tch. 😑 But I was able to move from economy to premium economy for free and use the premium economy equipment, and I watched from the side, thinking how lucky those people were. 😗 Anyway, all in all, I'll never go back to economy!!! Premium economy wasn't too expensive, and I was able to relax, so it was absolutely great!!!

The flight time was approximately 14 hours⏰ Because this London flight departed late at night, meals were only served once, approximately 8 hours after takeoff, to ensure passengers' sleep.🍴 For this reason, all passengers were provided with a lounge before boarding, and they ate there...⭐️ In-flight meals are nice, but being able to eat a meal like this before boarding, brush my teeth, and then just go to sleep was so convenient, even for those traveling with children.😪💤 In the lounge, we enjoyed JAL's special beef curry.🍛 Of course, we also had some alcohol.🍷 Feeling a little tipsy, we got ready for bed and headed on board.✈️ After boarding, it got dark quickly, so we went to bed right away.🛌 The plane arrived around 6:30 AM London time.🛬 The JAL flight arrived at Terminal 2. The area is a city near Zurich Airport, and it is a town called Kloten. I booked a place that is 10 minutes away from Zurich Airport and a 1-minute walk to the station, so it was easy to get around, and since the center of Kloten is nearby, it was great for sightseeing while taking a quick walk around the area! The day I went was the local festival in Kloten, so there were a lot of families there, and there were rides and a lot of simple food to eat, which was great! We booked a 60sqm. Apartment and it is spacious. No need fans or AC as the natural breeze was cold enough during our Summer Holiday. Definitely 4days is not enough.
