This time, I stayed directly at the newly opened Shanghai Jing’an Holiday Inn in 2025🏨 As a smart hotel, the check-in experience was full of technology, and I met many foreign friends, almost feeling like I was abroad🫣 - 📍Location: It’s right near Shanghai Railway Station🚉, a 5-minute walk from the North Square🚶 Whether for tourism or business trips, this location is very convenient - 🧑‍✈️Check-in: ✔️The staff were enthusiastic and efficient, check-in was very fast ✔️If you need help with luggage🧳, there are trolleys🛒 available at the entrance ✔️Free orange juice🍊 and cucumber🥒 lemon water are provided in the lobby to cool down - 🛏️Room experience: This time I stayed in a deluxe room (king bed) on the 23rd floor of the hotel, the elevator🛗 requires a key card, making it even more “secure” ▪️The room is over 30 square meters, spacious and not cramped, with a work desk and sofa area ▪️The toilet🚻 and washroom are completely separate, and the toilet has smart heating ▪️There are two types of pillows, soft and firm, and despite being near the train station, there was no noise ▪️The 23rd floor offers a panoramic view of the cityscape of Magic City, though unfortunately there was no sunset that day ▪️The air conditioning’s cooling effect is really good, no need for a room card, and it’s silent - 🏋️Hotel facilities: 🔺The gym is on the 24th floor, designed as a “sky gym” with floor-to-ceiling windows that expand the view, the gym is quite large and equipped with mineral water 🔺The laundry room requires a room card to enter, has drying facilities, and provides laundry bags - 🍳Chinese and Western breakfast: The hotel breakfast is very rich, and restocking is fast, so even at 9:30 am there are no “empty plates” ◽️There are three noodle toppings, the pickled vegetable shredded pork with diced ingredients made me “eat a lot” ◽️The hotel breakfast offers stir-fried dishes, and even sweet and sour ribs, which is quite rare ◽️The Western-style thin pancakes🍕 are quite special, you can make your own “egg burger” - 🍃Nearby attractions: 1️⃣Tian’an Qianshu: A floating building complex by the Suzhou River, with occasional night markets at night, beautiful malls, and many trendy shops 2️⃣M50 Creative Park: Lots of free exhibitions, a great place for photos📷 and check-ins 3️⃣Jade Buddha Temple: A famous Jiangnan temple with thriving incense, known for its jade-carved reclining Buddha 4️⃣Changshou Road: A street full of artistic coffee shops, perfect for a city walk

Today Suzhou creek is vibrant and alive thanks to the greening initiative from local governments. spanning most of Puxi Shanghai Suzhou creek is a fantastic place to take a stroll or even plan your run. it goes all the way from Hongqiao to the bund and thanks to the many Parsi dotted around it, it a pleasant path to wander down. New cafes have been opening up recently for the passerby’s and new gardens and walkways have been built to separate the bike lane and the pedestrians. But my heart raced with anticipation to see him again. I arrived by train in the early hours and just wanted to collapse into bed. But where to stay? Then I looked up and saw the words "Shanghai Jing'an Resort Hotel"—wasn’t this part of the InterContinental chain? 🏡 Accommodation 👉 Lucky for me, they still had rooms available during the holiday. I checked in quickly. Choosing a chain hotel isn’t about looking down on budget options—it’s about the guaranteed quality in environment, comfort, cleanliness, facilities, and service. 🚶 After a night of "recharging🔋," I woke up refreshed. After reflecting on wartime history, I strolled east along the riverside promenade. The Shanghai Postal Museum, recently renovated and fully reopened, is another gem. Along the way, you’ll find the Waibaidu Bridge’s twin (Wuzhen Road Bridge). Tired? Sit by the river with coffee and watch boats pass by as the day ends in the glow of city lights🔚. 🚶 Early on the third day I debated between local Shanghai breakfast and the hotel buffet—the latter had so much to offer. I have just been walking around near the Shanghai railway station and I found these interesting buildings. They are still under construction but even in this stage they are very impressive. I was curious about the function of these buildings. Well, restaurants, museums, art galleries and entertainment sites will be in the buildings. The forest on the buildings, (trees planted on pillars and balconies) will consist 70-plus species of trees. #travel #trees

I was seriously thrilled! 😍 Framed by gorgeous European-style architecture, these flowers create such a dreamy vibe. Whether you're shooting from above, below, or at eye level, every angle works. It is really comfortable to stroll along the old buildings along the Suzhou River. This trip will satisfy all your imaginations of this city and let you feel the beauty of Shanghai.

Springtime on the streets of Shanghai, where the tender shoots of the phoenix trees stretch under the warm sunlight, and the breeze carries the sweet scent of magnolia past the street corners. On Wukang Road, the red brick walls of old Western-style houses are dyed honey-colored by the sun, with a few pedestrians holding coffee as they stroll, their skirts and trench coats gently swaying in the spring light. Cherry blossoms bloom along the Suzhou River, their pink and white petals falling on the shoulders of joggers, while ferry whistles cut through the shimmering waves, turning the reflections of skyscrapers on the opposite bank into fragments of gold. The aroma of scallion oil noodles drifts from the alleys, where an elderly lady sits on a bamboo chair picking vegetables, watching her grandson chase bubbles across the bluestone pavement, their laughter startling sparrows perched on the utility poles. In the filter of spring, this city hides the tenderness between modern buildings and flows with the poetry of everyday life.

Finally, we arrived at the foreign concessions in the play, and witnessed the prosperity of the Bund during the day and the splendor of the night. I touched the Shanghai Postal Museum which has stood here for a hundred years, and felt the warmth of history in my palms. It was a throbbing that was difficult to describe in words. The fusion of Chinese and Western cultures can be seen everywhere here. It is truly a magic city with magical powers that make people linger.
