Upon entering the second floor entrance to the exhibitions, visitors are presented with the sights of the festival along a red corridor lined with images from the Nebuta Matsuri's 300 year history. It's a very quiet and perfect place to relax. I visited during the season of fresh greenery, so it was very relaxing. The promenade is surrounded by greenery, so I recommend taking insect repellent. It is a 20-minute bus ride and a 5-minute walk from Aomori Station. Sannai-Maruyama Site!! What a bless to have chance to see this world heritage- Jomon Prehistoric sites in Northern Japan 🇯🇵. Sannai-Maruyama Historical Site is one of Japan's largest historical sites consisting of remains of human settlement from approximately 5500 to 4000 years ago. The site features several pit-houses and stilt-houses unearthed since archeological excavation began in 1992. Very interesting to know and learn how it was found and how did they maintain. If you are in Aomori, I recommend you to have a Look at this place. And also can use JR pass ( JR buses run from Aomori station ) . Osanai is a popular restaurant with many locals and tourists alike, with a wide selection of 500 yen menu items such as set meals and rice bowls. If you come here, be sure to try the dishes made with live scallops! The menu is also full of scallops. After a lot of deliberation about whether to have fried scallops or not, I ordered the scallop grilled miso set meal. I changed my miso soup to the local dish Kenojiru for an additional 250 yen. I didn't really want to eat the grilled miso, but rather thought it was a local dish that I should try once, but it was more delicious than I expected! The miso flavor is not strong, so you can really enjoy the ingredients. It was also full of scallops, and I was more than satisfied with just that. I'm glad I ordered it. Kenojiru is a miso soup with chopped vegetables and konnyaku. It's filling and really feels like a miso soup you can eat! It also warms the body ♨️ It was my first trip to Aomori, and I was able to enjoy the taste for the first time 😊 By the way, the first floor is a restaurant, and the floor next to the entrance is an izakaya 🏮 If you want to enjoy some alcohol together, Izakaya Osanai might be a good choice! This is the Aomori Tourist information centre located in Aomori City, Tohoku region. It is only an 8 minute walk from the JR Aomori station~ The information centre building is shaped like an “A” which represents Aomori! Cool! You can also stroll in a nearby park where you can see cute seal statues and the view of the ocean. There is also a light house at the bay~ There is an observation deck at the 13th floor to see the Panoramic view of the Shimokita, Tsugaru, and Natsudomari peninsulas, Mutsu Bay, and the mountains of Hakkoda. #aomori
