There are over 600 arcade buildings, some of which have a history of more than 700 years. Haikou Bell Tower A scenic spot in Haikou, it is listed as one of the 'Eight Sights of Haikou.' Qilou Old Street is a surreal little area in the middle of Haikou, Hainan. For brief moments it really does feel like you are walking down the streets of a traditional Portuguese town. There were some cute little cafes and boutique shops to wander around, ideal if you want to spend an afternoon there just taking it easy and drinking coffee. Best way to get there is probably a didi. A walk down this street in Haikou is a nice way to spend an hour or two. The buildings are well maintained and the streets nice and clean. There are some lovely coffee shops along the way which are worth a visit. Longhua District Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, Haikou 570102 China Qilou street is the oldest street in haikou. The street has been there for centuries. A walk along the street brings you back to the 70s where shophouses are selling dried goods and some of the stores are selling apparel. A deep walk inside the alley brings you to where the villagers live. There are shop houses selling food and beverages. You can order fast food there. Fast food means economical rice. They call it fast food because you can get your meal fast after selecting the dishes to go with your rice. The place is cooling and brings you back to your memories. What an amazing experience visiting Qilou old street is. You can really admire the vintage architecture while enjoying the modern day benefits of today. 😍 I stayed at the Metropolo Jin Jiang Hotel. The location is very convenient as it's close to the railway station and not too far from Haikou's attractions 🤞 Getting There - taxi from the hotel. Attractions - Haikou bell tower, old town architecture, Zhongshan road. Hotels - Metropolo Jin Jiang Hotel. Food & Restaurants - tradition tea houses and Chinese restaurants on Zhongshan road. Shopping - lots of different little stores on Zhongshan road to buy most things like food or jewelry. I'd highly recommend this attraction if you're in Haikou 🤩

This old part of the city is a remnant of its history as a port inhabited some years ago by the Brits, French and Americans. Zhongshan Road(Last picture) is also part of the area.
