[2025 Hoi An Stay] Travel Guide for Son Hoi An Boutique Hotel & Spa (Updated Mar)

Many people visit Hoi An from Da Nang for a day trip 🇻🇳 However, the charm of Hoi An is the evening and night when lanterns sparkle, and the quiet early morning, which is a stark contrast to the night. If you enjoy walking around the city, I recommend staying at least one night in Hoi An to experience both sides of the city. So, I'd like to introduce some recommended hotels in Hoi An Old Town that I actually stayed at. 📍Son Hoi An Boutique Hotel & Spa 💰1 night per room: from 6000 yen Per person: 3000-4000 yen When I entered the room, I was surprised to see a bathtub on the balcony😳 There was also a shower, but I didn't have the courage to use it, so I used the shower room in the room😂 lol The room was on the top floor and I could see the sunset, so if I had brought a swimsuit, I could have spent a chill time relaxing in the bathtub and watching the sunset🛀 (The fifth photo is the best view just as the sun was setting) It seems to be a fairly new hotel. The spacious room, the furniture and equipment were sparkling, and the hot water in the shower came out quickly and there were no problems with drainage. (Southeast Asia is beautiful, but there are many bad hotels around here) The lobby and corridors have a bright atmosphere with a yellow color as the main color, which makes you feel like you're in Hoi An! A breakfast buffet was included, but I skipped everything except drinks because I wanted to eat local gourmet food at food stalls. The lineup is more than enough for a hotel at this price. There was also a wide variety of salads and tropical fruits, so it is recommended for those who want a light meal. It is about a 10-minute walk from the center of the old town. There is a supermarket nearby, so it is convenient for purchasing drinks and local ingredients. I was planning to return home from Da Nang Airport, so I took a taxi to the airport. I think it was just over 30 minutes. The hotel staff kindly arranged it for me. Breakfast is included for this price, the facilities are sufficient, and it is clean. To experience the essence of the ancient town, early morning and evening are the best times to visit. How to choose a hotel? ❣️Location: Choose outside the ancient town (Cam Pho area) Bars and restaurants in the ancient town are often lively at night. Due to some soundproofing issues, it is recommended to stay within walking distance outside the ancient town. There are usually free bicycle rentals, which is also the best way to explore the city without much effort. ❣️Price: 300–800/night A good hotel experience is, of course, a very important part of the trip. Hoi An offers great value for money, so you can almost choose with your eyes closed within a budget of 1,000. Consider the location, room type, and design style to choose the one that suits you best. ✔️Hotel Royal Hoi An - MGallery If you only have two days and one night, this MGallery is the first choice. Located on the banks of the Thu Bon River, not far from the ancient town, everything from service and dining to the stay experience is impeccable. Although it has been open for ten years, the facilities are not outdated and have a historical charm. ✔️Silkotel Hoi An This is a popular hotel. I tried it with a try-and-see attitude, and it didn't disappoint. The deluxe room with a balcony has an unbeatable view, and the warm yellow color scheme of the room is full of Hoi An style. The breakfast is rich.

I booked Hoi An Central Hotel based on great reviews online, and it definitely lived up to the expectations. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with refreshing lime juice and a cold towel, setting a great tone for the stay. The reception staff spoke excellent English, and the check-in process was smooth, with a detailed explanation of the hotel's facilities. They provided us with a handy map highlighting nearby attractions and cafés, all within walking distance. When we needed a tour, they were very helpful, explaining the fees and itinerary clearly. We booked the coconut boat tour through them, and it was seamless. After the tour, they sought feedback, ensuring everything was satisfactory. The General Manager, Rossie, was incredibly friendly and made sure we were happy throughout our stay. Breakfast was a delight with plenty of choices. We ate leisurely under a tree, enjoying the good service and a wide selection of fresh fruits. The hotel's location is perfect—just a short walk to the Old Town (less than 10 minutes). The omelette cooked right in front of you was also delicious. It's a highly recommended hotel because it's easily accessible from the city of Hoi An.

The reception was very friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and comfortable with elegant and modern interiors. The facilities were clean and tidy, and provided all the necessary amenities to make my stay enjoyable. The food served at the restaurant was delicious and varied, and I enjoyed the special experience of the spa and treatments. I was not far from the best Hoi landmarks, which made navigation easy and comfortable. Overall, my stay at Son Hoi An Boutique Hotel & Spa was a perfect and memorable experience.

Probably one of the key highlight for my Hoi A trip. 10mins walk to the Ancient Old Town. They also have a sister restaurant, the food there was lovely. Highly recommended Got a free upgrade on room.

I love this hotel in Hoi An. I’ll still recommend this hotel despite the cons that I listed below. Pros : 1. it’s walkable to the main ancient town 2. they offered free bicycle to ride around Cons : 1. breakfast can’t be compared to high end hotel as this is boutique hotel 2. the road to the hotel is quite narrow that grab driver won’t go in that road so you have to walk in note: our grab driver told us that flood tend to happen quite often during rainy season and the water level can be quite high.
