For this vacation, we stayed in the SO Comfy Water Elements Park View room, a room designed using the element of water as an inspiration for decoration. The interior of the room uses patterns that reflect the flow of water, giving a comfortable and relaxing feeling. The room is spacious and comes with complete facilities. It is divided into a bedroom and a bathroom with a bathtub for soaking. You can also see the view of Lumpini Park. Don't miss SO/FIT, a fitness zone and swimming pool. We really like the swimming pool here. It is an infinity pool with a 180-degree view. In the evening, we recommend going up to have a drink at the Hi-So Rooftop Bar on the 29th floor. It is a rooftop bar with a great atmosphere, perfect for chilling out. For the restaurants, there is both the Red Oven restaurant and the SOSHI restaurant. Today, we ate at the SOSHI restaurant with the special promotion SOSHI All-You-Can-Eat | Japanese Buffet, which offers a variety of Japanese food. First time at this hotel – The SO hotel was awesome by every aspect, making my 10 days stay in Bangkok a slice of peace in the heart of this frenetic city. The hotel oozes with personality orchestrated by a world class staff that goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable, all the way from check in to check out. Stayed for 2 nights seems not enough, enjoyed the suites so much. Spacious and modern (we choose metal element). If you like high floor then you should choose Water Element. Great service and breakfast. We also enjoyed dinner at So Bangkok with their various items. Quite near to Siam Paragon and Pratunam but it’s located in traffic jam area so need careful with your time plan. There’s vibrant rooftop bar that you could enjoy Bangkok city light. Stylishly appointed apartments/ rooms (designed over different themes representing the nature elements: Wood, Metal, Water...) , very impressed with the super comfy bed. Delicious and expansive breakfasts (just keep in mind that weekends can get a bit more crowded but overall things get well managed by a knowledgeable and friendly team). The lounge on the 25th floor is an interesting place to hang out, especially in the late afternoon to enjoy the complimentary light buffet (free access for guests staying in superior rooms). The pool/gym area was probably my favourite spot. A relaxation nest offering a stunning view on the city skyline where I enjoyed to end up almost every evening of my stay. Beautiful hotel, Good location, testy breakfast, the hotel have several type of rooms and I got "Wood theme" of the corner room. It’s very nice with beautiful Lumphini park view that we can run there in the morning. The bed is very comfortable. Also all hotel staffs are friendly, especially So Baiwan is very nice to take care of us. I very happy especially for room upgrading. I was very impressed! This hotel is extremely well-located, overlooking the Lumpini Park, near the eating/shopping areas of Silom. A stone thrown away from the MRT station (Lumpini) or a 10 min walk to the BTS station (Saladang) from where you can easily reach any place in Bangkok without the hassle of the traffic. I have selected the water element because of its unique bathtub. My water element room belongs to the SO/Comfy 45sqm room facing Lumphini park, superb views! The rooms come in different styles and offer refreshing views of the green Lumpini Park. The hotel offers a full range of amenities, including an infinity pool with city views, a rooftop restaurant and bar with stunning views, and the SO/ SPA, which provides a variety of treatments. Conveniently located, it is just a 3-minute walk from the MRT Lumpini station and about a 15-minute walk from the BTS Sala Daeng station.

Bangkok SO Hotel, part of the Sofitel group, has a style similar to W Hotels, with a trendy vibe. The hotel boasts a prime location where the BTS and MRT lines intersect, and Grab rides to various city attractions cost less than 300 baht. The room designs are not the newest, and the furniture is slightly worn, but it doesn't affect the stay. The floors are organized from the lobby on the first floor, a breakfast restaurant on the 7th floor, and then four floors each for gold, wood, earth, and water elements above the 7th floor. The 10th floor houses the pool, and the 29th floor features the Hiso Bar (pictures not included). The rooms are spacious, and I was upgraded to a wood element room with a large bed of at least 2 meters, comfortably accommodating two adults and one child (2nd grade). The water element rooms seem to be the best due to their higher location, while the earth element rooms, from the pictures, look like a blue planet and are hard to look at directly. The Red Oven restaurant offers a wide variety of breakfast options. With room rates over 800, it feels like half the cost is for the location and half for the service and amenities, with room hardware being negligible. Dining in a restaurant with a view reminiscent of New York's Central Park, with a wide selection of global cuisines, is indeed suitable for a vacation. The hotel is friendly to Chinese guests, offering free breakfast for children. Unlike my stay at the Standard in Hua Hin, where breakfast was average and children were charged 400 baht per meal. There are no welcome drinks, but you receive drink vouchers for the Chocolate Bar (located at the back door of the lobby) equivalent to the number of guests (see the last few pictures).
