The highlands in Iceland is one of my favorite places on Earth. The different textures and colors that cover the landscape are absolutely breathtaking. One I have is to rent a 4x4 vehicle and drive yourself out into the highlands. You travel through rivers, crossing by beautiful scenery. I would recommend having a guide though, or at least a map, because getting lost can be pretty easy to do.
