Getting There - We took a private car from our hotel. Recommended because if you get a Didi there, you might not find one to get back. you could scooter, or even bike ride there from Yangshou, or any Li River hotel,, but weather was not good enough for that. Attractions - Amazing stalactites and stalagmites lit up with funky lights. it's not a bad thing to do on a poor weather day. in December, it's probably the warmest place around (fully clothed...as there are hot springs!). Hotels - it's labelled as Guilin, but actually near to Yangshou. No hotels around the site itself. Food & Restaurants - There are some stalls with local food outside the caves. Shopping - of course!!!! inside the caves and outside...Disney style. Other- We read that you need to join a tour group, but that's not true now. You get given an audio tour guide and you can't get lost. If I remember correctly it costs 65rmb each adult.

Thus as we decided to walk the talk with the nature, it led us to Guangxi province where the trails and perfectly laid (as we're not hardcore hikers) and quite a relaxing hike we had. After the hike for a while, we ventured to a nearby village to have a look at their customs and traditions. We participated in the local dance performance and the lucky one got a garland (that's me 😋). Later in the trip, we also went to see the Silver caves, which is quite magnificent. These caves are formed by volcanic flow some 1000 years of ago and still the ground holds, so we can go around and have a look. I walked in the cave from the entrance to the exit and it took me an hour. It is very long. But during the journey, there is beauty to see everywhere. The LED lights create different moods and feelings. The colored lights match the shapes of the stalactites and stalagmites, which are very beautiful. In addition, there are ancient money statues here for tourists to take pictures or pray for wealth. On the day I went, there were a lot of people queuing to take pictures with the money in the cave.
