The museum's treasure is an inlaid bronze pot with banquet, land and water battle patterns. On the body of the bronze pot, which is only 40 centimeters high, more than 200 different human figures are depicted, using inlay techniques to record scenes from the lives of nobles during the Warring States period. This bronze pot is divided into three layers: upper, middle, and lower, separated by a triangular cloud pattern. The upper layer depicts mulberry picking and hunting, the middle layer shows banquets and archery, and the lower layer illustrates land and water battles. Its delicate inlay and superb craftsmanship pioneered a new pattern of bronze decoration art in the Warring States period. There was also a small episode during the visit. Sichuan Museum Annual Masterpiece 'Shu Road' Special Exhibition Officially opens on July 28, 2024, the exhibition brings together 430 precious exhibits/sets from 66 units~ Including bronzes, gold and silver wares, jade wares, ceramics, lacquer wares, calligraphy and paintings, and other categories. The exhibition is based on academic research and archaeological achievements, interpreting the engineering wisdom and ecological wisdom of the Shu Road, recreating the symbiosis of humanity and nature on the Shu Road, and showcasing the important role of the Shu Road in national unity, ethnic integration, economic development, and cultural exchange.

The Sichuan Museum is located in the Huanhuaxi Historical and Cultural Scenic Area of Chengdu, and it is the largest museum in the southwest. The museum has a collection of more than 350,000 cultural relics, including 70,000 precious items. Currently, the museum has 6 basic exhibition halls with a total area of 10,000 square meters. On the first floor, there is the 'Ancient Sichuan - Prehistoric Period', on the second floor, there are 'Ancient Sichuan - Pre-Qin Period', 'Ancient Sichuan - Qin, Han, and Three Kingdoms Period', 'Ancient Sichuan - Two Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties to Sui and Tang Dynasties' - four general history permanent exhibitions, as well as three art history themed permanent exhibitions on the third floor: ethnic cultural relics, arts and crafts, and Han Dynasty pottery and stone art. The Sichuan Museum has collected a large number of paintings by Mr. Zhang Daqian, especially his reproductions of the Dunhuang murals. Zhang Daqian reproduced more than 200 Dunhuang murals, and the Sichuan Museum has collected 183 of them. Unfortunately, the recent Zhang Daqian painting and calligraphy exhibition and the Tibetan Buddhist cultural relics exhibition have not been displayed to the public. It is accessible by subway lines 5 and 2. Currently, the road in front of the museum is closed for construction, and the bus stop is temporarily suspended, so please pay attention to your travel method.

#chinatrip Sichuan Museum is in Chengdu and can be reached through subway on Line 2, or Line 4 stop Chengdu University of TCM & Sichuan Provincial People’s Hospital. (One need to walk a little from Subway stop to reach the museum). This visit was a unique experience. The museum building is based on three flours with clear layout plans and directions in both Chinese and English. However some exhibits only have description in Chinese. Entrance to the museum was free but one needs to display identity documents. The staff at the entrance was helpful and it didn’t take long to go through the security check.

On March 26th, the 'Art and Life - Valery Lednev Exhibition' opened at the Sichuan Museum. The exhibition is jointly sponsored by the People's Government of Sichuan Province and the National Art Museum of China, organized by the Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics, and co-organized by the Sichuan Museum and the Sichuan Provincial Academy of Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting. A total of 170 representative works of the famous Russian artist Valery Lednev are on display.

Sichuan Museum is worth a visit!!! The sudden appearance of the money tree reminds me of a book I read eleven years ago, which is full of bizarre experiences, and a bronze door opened my initial longing for the "Shu" land. Shu, indeed is a wonderful place, the money tree of the Queen Mother of the West and Su Shi's Chibi Fu meet in the same space, I wonder what kind of story the bronze god tree in Sanxingdui will tell. After several days of travel, having experienced the awe of Sanxingdui and the accumulation of the Chengdu Museum, I seem to have developed a bit of aesthetic fatigue. Why do we travel off-peak? There are no dazzling special exhibitions during the slack season, only the Russian children's illustrator's exhibition seems worth a look. Facing each exhibit and conversing with the past, I saw many children either copying the exhibits or taking notes from the explanations. I am truly happy for these kids. The contrast between this kind of growth and the obsession with electronic products is so obvious. Here, I saw the seven-stringed qin from the Tang dynasty used for striking ice in Shijian. I saw the world's majestic lion king thangka from the Qing dynasty. I also saw the cheerful Eastern Han dynasty pottery figurines of storytellers... Seeing the long history of this Brocade Official City, falling in love with a city doesn't take long.

In 2009, the new Sichuan Provincial Museum was completed and renamed as Sichuan Museum, which is open to the public for free. The new museum is located in the Huanhua Creek Historical and Cultural Scenic Area in Chengdu, adjacent to Du Fu Thatched Cottage, with a main building area of 32,026 square meters and an exhibition hall area of 9,715.9 square meters. It is the largest cultural benefit project in Sichuan Province during the 'Eleventh Five-Year Plan' period. The Sichuan Museum currently has permanent exhibitions such as 'Ancient Sichuan·Prehistoric Period', 'Ancient Sichuan·Pre-Qin Period', 'Ancient Sichuan·Qin, Han and Three Kingdoms Period', 'Ancient Sichuan·Jin to Tang and Five Dynasties Period', as well as art history special exhibitions such as ethnic cultural relics, arts and crafts, Han Dynasty pottery and stone art, and there are 4 temporary exhibition halls. The museum has more than 350,000 collections, including more than 70,000 precious cultural relics. What is puzzling is that the large museum does not have an 'Ancient Sichuan·Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties' exhibition hall, and it is unknown why. On December 7, 2012, the Sichuan Museum was rated as a national first-class museum.

The Shu Han regime of the Three Kingdoms period, with the Bashu region at its core, occupies an important position in our country's historical culture.
