There are too many people visiting Quanzhou, an unpopular city, so I went to Putian, a small city next door.
Compared with Quanzhou, which is "half city of fireworks and half city of immortals", Putian is much more niche. It has various temples, monasteries, churches and ancient buildings and national treasures everywhere. It is cheap and has the best snacks in central Fujian. There are no entrance fees for attractions.
I’ve coded a super practical guide for you, remember to save it!
🚉Transportation guide:
Putian does not have an airport, but it is only more than an hour away from Fuzhou and Quanzhou airports, with Quanzhou airport being closer. It is more convenient to take the high-speed rail to Putian. If you want to go to the city, look for Putian Station. It is recommended to mainly drive by car when traveling in Putian, as public transportation is not very convenient.
