I find that it's worth more for a la carte order but need to eat in more number of group. Instead of 4 people like previously during lunch, this time I invited my family over so there are 6 of us here for dinner instead of lunch. The service is good. Food is much better for alacarte of course, bigger portion. Mapo toufu still the same, not spicy and taste like instant noodle. The duck is good, you should try! Avg. It was certainly an experience as I've never dined at a 2* restaurant before! The staff were very friendly and it was one of the cheapest way to try out a 2* restaurant, making it value for money. Ordered the $50++ lunch set which came with 6 dishes! Yes, 6! Got the Dim Sum basket and the plate of appetizers as Starters and I must say that the Dim Sum basket definitely stood out! The prawns in the Har Gal were fresh and juicy! Pity I could only have one. The Plate of Appetizers had the same amazing prawn and Char Siew, which was good but not the best. The next course was Soup of the Day! Which was pork ribs soup, not sure what they put in there but it is amazing! The pork's flavours were awesome! The mains of Stir-fried pork and mushroom with oyster sauce, Szechwan-style stir-fried beef with XO sauce and Chen’s Mapo Doufu were awesome! The Work Hey on these dishes were so strong and the mapo tofu packed a punch, perfectly paired with Hokkaido rice. For dessert, we had almond jelly which had it's ingredients imported from Japan, it was soo flavourful and silky smooth. I would come back again just for that!
