📍Shiratori Shrine, Kagawa Prefecture Shiratori Shrine has a site of about 130,000 square meters, and there are various things to see within the large grounds. The area around the shrine is called "Shiratori no Matsubara" (Swan Pine Grove) because it is close to the coast and many pine trees grow on the sand. Because it is close to the sea, the wind is strong, and it seems that pines were planted to protect the shrine, and currently about 1,500 pines grow there. Many windmills have been installed in the corridor leading to "Otsurumon", and it has become a popular spot at Shiratori Shrine.
