A Serene Retreat: The Song of Shirotori Garden
In the heart of Nagoya, there lies a tranquil oasis—Shirotori Garden. This Japanese garden not only allowed me to appreciate the beauty of nature but also experience the charm of traditional Japanese culture.
Upon entering Shirotori Garden, the first thing that catches your eye is the serene lake. The surface of the lake glistens, reflecting the surrounding trees and sky, bringing a sense of joy. Walking along the stone path, the scenery changes with the seasons. Now in autumn, the leaves are starting to change color, with golden maple leaves interwoven with greenery, creating a vivid picture.
I came across a small bridge, under which a stream gently flows, as if softly narrating the stories of this land. Continuing along the path, I encountered a traditional Japanese tea house, from which a faint aroma of tea wafted out. Sitting on a stone bench in the garden, enjoying a cup of matcha, I felt a sense of relaxation, as if time had stood still.
The flowers in the garden are also very captivating. Whether it’s the blooming cherry blossoms or the chrysanthemums in full bloom, they are all mesmerizing. I particularly liked the exquisite rock formations and streams, with water flowing gently between the rocks, bringing a sense of tranquility and harmony.
As the sun set, the atmosphere of Shirotori Garden became even more enchanting. Lights began to illuminate, casting a glow on the surroundings, making the entire garden seem to be draped in a veil of mystery. The lake at night reflected the starry sky like a mirror, adding a touch of romance.
Shirotori Garden is a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Whether it’s the natural beauty during the day or the charm of the lights at night, this place made me feel the blend of nature and culture. This visit not only relaxed my mind but also gave me a deeper understanding of traditional Japanese culture. I look forward to returning to this beautiful place again!
