Travel to Gifu 🇯🇵 Shirakawa-go ~ Takayama City
Today we will go to Gifu City. #Gifu #Takayama #TravelJapan #Nagoya
We went during Valentine's Day. It was a time when there was a lot of snow in Shirakawa-go Village. It took about 2 and a half hours from Nagoya. The atmosphere of the World Heritage City was very beautiful.
~~ Don't forget to eat ice cream. It was so cool to defy the cold.
In the evening, we went to Takayama Village. It is an ancient village of Japanese people for hundreds of years. There is Hida beef, which is a premium beef... We tried it and it was fresh, soft, and delicious. Don't miss it. 💕💕 This village closes at 5 p.m., so hurry up and go.

“Shirakawa-go” World Heritage Village
Amazing view in the middle of the valley, the first time I went there, I fell in love!!!🗻❄️🇯🇵
This is another secret place that I really want to go to. When I actually went there, I have to say that I really fell in love with this place. Because the village is in the middle of the valley, everywhere you look is beautiful. Even though it was snowing heavily when I went, I was not disappointed. This place has many highlight spots, cute little spots along the alleys. You can walk all day and not get bored. Plus, every corner is beautiful to take pictures. Having said that, you have to go there. I guarantee that you will fall in love with this place just like me.😍😍

Shirakawa-go in Summer

🌞Shirakawa-go in Summer
🛖Shirakawa-go is an ancient village registered as a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
🛖Most people tend to visit this place during winter because there will be a light decoration event, white snow contrasting with the dark brown houses. But in Summer, this place is beautiful in another way. The mountains and trees in the village are green. In the rice fields, there are rice plants, colorful flowers bloom. Most importantly, there are much fewer people than in the high season.
🛖The houses in this village have a unique appearance that is different from other places. This type of house helps protect from snow and keeps the house warm.
🛖In the village, there are shrines, temples, sweet shops, and souvenir shops. I recommend trying the local dango.
🚗 We took the JR from Osaka to Kanazawa and then took a bus for another hour.

Shirakawago on the day the snow started to melt
When we came for the last day of light-up, the snow was starting to melt a bit, so we focused more on walking around the village. Even though it was the last day, it was still lively, as you can see from the densely packed cars parked there, but it was still a leisurely walk. We walked to the end of the village, where the highlight was 3 houses. It was quite far from the drop-off point, but we had to get there anyway. We finally got there.

Shirakawa-go, a lovely village in the middle of a valley
Shirakawa-go Village, a World Heritage Village located in the middle of a valley in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. The houses here are unique because they are made from natural materials and have a roof in the shape of hands clasped together, or what is called Gassho-zukuri. The roof is angled more than 45 degrees so that when the snow melts, it can easily flow down. The village is located in the middle of a valley surrounded by nature and the Sogawa River, making the air cool and comfortable. Most tourists usually come during the snowfall because it is especially beautiful. As for us, we came during the snow melting season because the weather is cool and not too cold. The village is still beautiful and full of tourists. The highlight that tourists must come to take a photo and check in is the three houses that are lined up beautifully. But for us, there are many other beautiful spots as well. #TeamSouthern #TravelJapan #hello365daysreview

Shirakawa-go Village in Osaka during the autumn foliage season. The weather is cool and not too cold. Everywhere you look is beautiful. It's a bit far from Osaka city by car, but it's worth it.
