Although it takes a 15-20 minute walk plus a climb up the hill from the train station, many people still visit. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the shrine from either JR Tohoku Main Line's 'Shiogama Station' or Senseki Line's 'Hon-Shiogama Station'.
