Play: Shimen Cave is relatively unpopular compared to European Street. I have been there several times and turned back when I reached the waterfall. Basically no one cares about this place. Locals can get in for free by showing their ID cards. If you want to enter the mountain, you need to take a ferry first. It feels quite strange and similar to the previous time I went to Jiangxin Island. After landing on the island, a tightrope walker showed his skills. It was exciting to watch. After sightseeing, we entered a forest and crossed a small bridge to the waterfall. It was quite spectacular and gave me a sense of Zeya. After walking around the waterfall for a few times, a young man found a secret mountain trail, so we followed the crowd and planned to go up to check it out. We didn’t know what to do until we got up. We were shocked to see a bridge running along the mountain halfway up the mountain. Looking down around the mountain, there was endless sight without any protection. The bridge deck looked very old and creaked when we walked on it. It was quite exciting, but you can try it if you are not good at it... We continued to walk up along the road, feeling like we were exploring a new world, and there was no end to it. We came to a pavilion. There was a fork in the road, and we couldn’t walk anymore, so we decided not to climb up anymore. We chose the horizontal road and walked for a long time. We came to a reservoir and saw a village. It was simply a paradise. Many old houses were preserved, and there seemed to be a memorial site for someone, but we had to buy a ticket for 30 yuan each. We took a look at it, but it was not very big, so we didn’t go in. Because it was getting late, I gave up because I was afraid I couldn't climb down. Prepare to call a van to pick us up and go down the mountain. The van costs 100 yuan (you can also take a bus down the mountain, which costs 5 yuan per person)

SHIMENDONG (石門洞) 📍 Shimendong is located in Shimen, New Taipei. This place is very interesting for those who want to relax or come to chill out. It is about 40 kilometers away from Taipei city. The route is quite winding. But in exchange for value, we will get quite cool air and listen to the sound of the waves and sea. There are many things here that are very perfect. From the moment we arrive, we will find a large rock that looks like a cave that is the entrance to the inside. On top, you can go up and see the surrounding view. The Flint Cave has three entrances, the main entrance is by ferry, the east entrance is through Gao's Village, and the west entrance is through Stone Door Fishing Village. Usually, the main entrance is chosen to enter by ferry. The entire scenic area consists of the Stone Door Waterfall, Prince's Victory Scenery, Immortal Peach, and Shigu Lake Scenic Area. Most tourists usually come to the Stone Door Waterfall Scenic Area. The Stone Door Waterfall Scenic Area has cliff inscriptions, many allusions, legends and relics left by Xie Lingyun, Liu Ji, Chen Cheng and others, as well as mountain villages, ancient temples, Taoist temples, and more spectacular waterfall groups (come on rainy days).
